Hello there! Happy Saturday!
I hope you are keeping well and had a lovely week. Mine has been so busy with work that I haven't even had the opportunity to pop back and tell you about my girly Saturday last weekend!
I went to the fab Valentino exhibition at Somerset House with my sister Lorna, and our two best friends Becca and Sheree. The dresses were all so beautiful and we had a fab time guessing which era they were all from. Then we went onto our vintage themed afternoon tea at an establishment that will remain nameless for reasons you are about to hear!
Soooo....they gave us a glass of bubbles to start, which was probably their saving grace! Next came the sandwiches and the cake stand full of tiny traditional cakes. It all looked wonderful, and we tucked into our sandwiches. Then I noticed something move on one of my sandwiches...I wasn't 100% sure at first, but I thought I saw something tiny wiggle! After much deliberation I poked what I thought had wiggled with my knife and discovered that yes indeed I had a teeny, tiny wiggly thing on my sandwich!!!! This could only happen to me!
Luckily for the restuarant I had already consumed quite a bit of my champagne and therefore decided to see the funny side of the situation. No one else had a wiggly thing in their food and I didn't want to ruin the afternoon, so I pointed the wiggly thing out to a passing chef who was mortified and then accepted the apologies that followed! We got a substantial discount on our meal, I got fresh sandwiches (with a promise of no more wiggly things) and we got free cocktails!! My goodness we all giggled a lot!!
Anyway, I hope that little story made you giggle...
Today we have a fab challenge for you over at
My Time to Craft....we want you to make a card inspired by a film or a song. I love challenges like this as there is so much to inspire you....you can also find out a lot about crafters by their choice of film or song!!
Maybe a little predictably I opted for a food related film....
Julie & Julia. As well as the obvious food connection, I also love that blogging is a key theme in the film! I also love Meryl Streep's accent!
I've coloured my super cute image with my Promarkers, adding some faux stitching as a border. My sentiment was also inspired by the film and was made on my computer.
Pop by the
My Time to Craft challenge blog to see what movie or song inspired the lovely DT ladies to make a card this week! Then get crafting....but don't forget to tell us which movie or song inspired you!
I also like to enter this card at:
Thanks for popping by today,
Wedgie xxx
