This is my first card for My Time to Craft and boy have the lovely ladies stretched me!! Our theme this fortnight is "Fantasy".....if you've stopped by my blog before you'll notice that there isn't too much fantasy here....lots of cupcakes yes....lots of pink and purple yes...but not much fantasy!!

Soooo....I got my thinking cap on and searched through my digi image collection before coming across this fab little Pollycraft digi image!

A little on the Twlight side I think, but I'm quite pleased with this card! I've opted for greens and purples for this card and I've coloured my image with my Promarkers. I've added three cute little punched flowers and then added some sparkle with my Stickles.

Pop over the the My Time to Craft challenge blog to see all the gorgeous DT cards that have been created for you!

I'd also like to enter this card in the 100th Make it Monday Linky Party!

I'm also rather excited because this evening I am going to the Olympics to watch the weight lifting! So if you happen to be watching it on the TV this evening don't forget to play "Spot Wedgie" in the crowds!! Hee, hee!

I scream..you scream...we all scream for ice cream!!

Happy Tuesday folks!

Hope you're keeping well today! Well....did you know that July is national ice cream month in America?? And the third Sunday in July each year is national ice cream day!! What a brilliant celebration! This has been celebrated in America since 1984!!

To mark the occasion the theme at Celebrate the Occasion this week is...you've guessed it....ice cream!!

I've opted for a trio of sweet ice cream sundaes....I have coloured these with my Promarkers and added a little sparkle to the cherry with my Stickles. I love this stripey paper...reminds me of ice creams and I think it looks fab with the plain brown and blue papers that I've used to back the images and sentiment.

Happy Monday!

Hello folks - hope you're well today.

This morning I went for a little run (I've started training again since my knee seems to have settled at long last!!)....and boy was it an epic run! First off I managed to conquer a hill that normally finshes me off before I've begun....I was dead chuffed with myself! Then about 15 minutes later I managed to have a spectacular fall....and landed on my bum right in front of a poor lady (how she didn't tread on me was anyone's guess!!). It was a real slow motion fall....I must have looked really funny!! Oh well!

Anway, here is today's card....and I'm quite pleased with this one....

Isn't he a cheeky chappie? He looks so pleased to be out fishing!!

I've raied my paper stash for lots of different green coloured papers...both plain and patterened....for this card. The image is stamped and coloured with my Promarkers (so are the little fishes!). I created the sentiment tag on my computer. Finally I added some little faux stitches with a brown pen.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Cupcake Craft Challenge - the great outdoors
Alphabet Challenge - M is for men
Love to Create - add a tag

A little drinkie-poos!

Hello there....soooo is everyone enjoying the Olympics?? Remember on Friday I said that I wasn't sure whether I'd get to see the whole opening ceremony...well Joe had a change of heart and we watched the entire thing and I'm so glad we did! What an amazing opening ceremony....wonderfully British and fab music throughout....plus the Queen parachuting with James Bond.....AWESOME!!

In fact I've been much more into this Olympics malarkly than I ever thought I'd be....I've been watching the cycling road races, lots of male gymnastics (very nice!!), some rowing and some volleyball! I'm off to see the weight lifting on Tuesday evening....can't wait!

Anyway....as you know I'm on annual leave at the moment and I've decided to relax and have a couple of drinkie poos over the last couple of evenings! Today's card is inspired by my favourite kind of tipple....

....you can't beat a cocktail, especially in the summer months....pretty, fruity and often pink! What more could a girl want?? Cocktails always remind me of the summertime and fab girlie holidays!

I've gone for a tropical pink and green colour combo for this card as I thought it was quite summery. I've coloured my image with my Promarkers, making sure I used lots of bright colours. I've added some cute punched flowers and then added some bling!

I have to say that I love this card...it really makes me smile!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges....

Woo hoo...its the weekend!

Hello folks! Happy Friday!

First off I'd like to say hello to all my new followers! Its lovely to see you here! I'd also like to thank everyone for their lovely comments, its so nice to read them all!

Sooo....are you all getting ready to watch the Olympics opening ceremony?? I think I've managed to convince Joe that he wants to watch a bit of it....he's really not that interested though!

I have a quick card for you this evening...its a card that I've made for a work friend who is based in a different office to me. I tell her about my baking antics and she'd really like to sample some of my cakes, but she is based quite far away and I doubt they'd travel very well (I always remember sending my aunt and uncle in Bognor decorated gingerbread men one year....my aunt's was fine, but my uncle's was beheaded!!). Anyway, its Tracy's Birthday this week and I wanted to make her a special card.....

I might not be able to send her a real cupcake....but at least I can send her one that I've made (or coloured!!) - hee, hee!!

I've used fab stripey backing paper, which I have topped with some plain bright pink paper. I've added a border punched by my fab Martha Stewart punch. My sentiment is created on my computer and is backed with more of that pink paper. I've coloured my cupcake with my Promarkers and added some sparkle to the cherry with my Stickles. I've then attached both the cupcake and the sentiment using 3D sticky pads. Finally I added some faux white stitching.

I hope she likes it! I am actually visiting her later in August so will have to take some real cakes then!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - anything goes
DYSU - for a friend
Digi Doodles - stripey

Its summer time!

Post number two for today! Please scroll down to see my Celebrate the Occasion DT post.

Sooo....isn't this weather lovely?? The sky is blue in Aldershot today and the sun is shining! Woo hoo! I really hope this lasts as I'm on annual leave next week and staying put in this country!

Anyway, all this lovely sunshine has inspired a couple of cards today....

I've used plain blue backing paper, along with some fab stripy paper that reminds me of deck chairs to make this page. My image is created from two Pollycraft characters which I have coloured with my Promarkers. The sentiment was created on my computer.

This card reminds me of me and Joe.....we love surfing. I'd like to say the characters look like us, but I think that would be pushing it a bit!!

This card has been created for the following challenges:
Oldie but a Goodie - photo inspiration (that photo really screamed summer holiday to me and this is my perfect summer holiday!). My old thing is the deck chair-like paper!
Tuesday Throwdown - Tropical paradise

My second card also has a lovely summery vibe to it....

Isn't that strawberry backing paper cute?? I've backed this paper with some plain blue paper, which I have also used around my image and my sentiment. The image is another Pollycraft cutie and I've coloured her with my Promarkers.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Passion got Promarkers - feeling fruity
Love to Create - spots & dots (my strawberrys are dotty!)

Well I hope my cards have left you with that summer feeling! Pop by the challenge blogs mentioned to see all the gorgeous DT cards that have been created.

Finally, I'd like to introduce you to Penny the Pineapple plant! Hee, hee....I've wanted a pineapple plant for ages and mum found this lovely one! She's now sat below my living room window sunning herself!

Star Struck!

Happy Tuesday Folks, hope you're keeping well.

Today we have another challenge for you over at Celebrate the Occasion...this week we are seeing stars with a "Star Struck" challenge....we'd love to see your cards which feature at least three stars!

I've opted for a girlie, sparkly card for this challenge....

I'm really pleased with how this card has turned out, I love the colour combo and think it works really well with the cupcake and the sparkle. I've added grey backing paper to my card and topped half of it with some pink and white polks dot paper. My image is coloured with my Promarkers and I've added a little sparkle to my cherry on top with my trusty Stickles. My cupcake is fixed to the card using 3D sticky pads. I've made the sentiment on my computer and backed it with some more pink paper before fixing it to the card. Finally I added three dinky pink stars. Soooo sweet!

To keep me relaxed I've made a couple of cards this evening...the first one reminds me of my kitchen antics getting ready for the tea party.....

I've had this stamp for ages, but I've never used it because its rather large! It is very cute though and it seemed to fit my week really well! I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Its hot dog month!

Well, they say that you learn something new every day and I really did learn something new today thanks to my lovely teamies at Celebrate the Occasion! In America July is hot dog month!!

I've never heard of hot dog month before so I did a little research and it turns out that the National Hot Dog & Sausage Council in America designate July national hot dog month - they encourage, support and sponsor events in the hot dog eating communities. There is lots of hot dog eating at these events, along with other fun activities.....plus money is raised for charities. Now this sounds like great fun....why don't we have a national hot dog month in England???

Anyway, to celebrate this fab month at Celebrate the Occasion this week we'd like to see a hot dog or two on your projects! Need a little inspiration? Pop by the Celebrate the Occasion challenge blog and see all the gorgeous DT cards that have been created this week!

Isn't he a cutie??

A wheely good start to the week!

Hello Crafters! Hope you're all well today.

Well, I honestly can't believe its Monday evening already....where did my day go?? I'm actually quite pleased because my Blooming Tea Party for Marie Curie is taking place this Saturday and I can't wait!

We've got lots of guests, a marquee (the rain won't stop us!!), a vintage theme complete with vintage hair stylist, a fab raffle with lots of prizes and of course lots of cakes!! Here are some little sugar paste roses that made last night for one batch of cakes.

Soooo...its Monday...that means its time for a fab new challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenge and this week it's Le Tour de France...we can create anything as long as its something to do with the theme...I went with bikes....

I love this sentiment...its perfect for my Brother in Law Jim.....he's a cycle nut ! Although I'm not sure he'd approve of this bike with that cute basket!! He's just riden the London to Paris ride as a team captain for the second year. Mad man!! I also used the colours of the french flag - red, white and blue.

I'd also like to enter this card in the following challenges....

What?? Limit my coffee??

Yes folks...last week I had some interesting news...apparently I need to watch my caffine intake!! Now I wouldn't say that I'm a coffee addict, I definitly don't drink ten cups a day...but I do love a good cup of coffee or tea or green tea (you should have seen the doctor's face when I said I drink all three!!). I've been having blood pressure isues for a while now and finally the doctor has issued me with some lifesytle changes to make...lucky me!! I've also been told that decaffinated versions of drink aren't that good for me either....I should be drinking naturally caffine free stuff.....lots of fruit tea for me then!!

So inspired by this wonderful news I came up with this card...

The lovely sketch can be found over at Crazy 4 Challenges this week...now I don't normally like circles, but I really loved this sketch! My colours of soft pinks came from the pink challenge over at Lili's Little Fairies and cool colours challenge at DYSU.

Finally Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge has a food and drink challenge and Simon Says Stamp challenge has a fruity challenge....I've opted for this cute LOTV teatime image, coupled with the gorgeous cherry backing paper. This image always reminds me of me and my sister...especially since we do love an afternoon tea! This is us at a vintage event....what do you think??

Talking of tea...we have our second Blooming Tea Party for Marie Curie next Saturday....can we all start doing our sunshine dances as I don't think its going to be much fun in mum's garden if it keeps raining like this!!

What do you think....

Now I bet you are asking yourself...well whats different here? Its the colours!

I've gone with a hot pink and then some vintage papers - flowery and yellow! I've stamped my image and coloured it with my Promarkers and added some blue punched flowers, finished off with a little yellow glitter!

Anyone for tea?

Hello there! Happy Monday! Hope you had an awesome weekend!

Lorna and I had a wonderful experience on Saturday...we took our crafternoon tea one the road - teacups and all! We put on a tea party for one of my work colleagues and her friends. They ate lots of cakes, made candles and made a greetings card featuring some cute cupcakes. All the ladies had a fab time....and so did we! I loved sharing my crafting knowledge with new people!

Anyway, enough of that business.....where are my cards for today??

Well first off I have a cake themed Birthday card....

I've used pastel shades for this card, along with a cupcake stamp and a number stamp that I've had for ages and never used!! Not sure why....I really like it! I've made a cute little tag out of coloured card, added my cupcake image and fixed it all on the card with some 3D sticky pads.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Cupcake Craft Challenge - number crunchy (feature some numbers!)
Simon Says Stamp - tag or ATC

And next I have something that does make me shudder a little....yes its a Christmas card!! Well I suppose its less than six months until Christmas now!!

I've gone a little bit unusual with this |Christmas card....instead of completly traditional colours I've opted for some red, white and blue...along with a cute LOTV image and some homemade holly! I've coloured my image with my Promarkers and added a little sparkle with my Stickles!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Allsorts - red, white & blue
Crazy 4 Challenges - show us your colours - use your countries colours
The Pink Elephant - Christmas in July
Lili's Little Fairies - anything goes
Send a Smile 4 Kids - Christmas

A very good crafting hour!

Hello folks!

Well I came home from work this evening and after spending a total of 2 and a half hours in my car travelling to and from work today I decided it was time to put some Brad Paisley on nice and loud and get creative!!

There is a fab challenge over at Stampalot this month...they want to see your crafting passion...how cool is that! Some of you might know what my crafting passion is.....I love creating things out of a pile of paper. I love it....love the challenge and find it sooo satisfying. I've made loads of car cards before for Joe and his car nut Dad....but I'll try anything out! Today I was asked to make a card for someone who wanted a leopard on the front....well I certainly haven't got a leopard stamp so I got my papers out and got creative.....

Ha, ha! Its a bit of an evil looking leopard...those eyes are a bit menacing, but I thoroughly enjoyed putting this card together! I've used paper scraps from my stash along with my Promarkers and a white gel pen.

Here is the photo I used as inspiration...

Inspired by this card I also decided to make another Birthday card...and I stayed with the cat theme...but went a little smaller this time....

Now I love this stamp! I've had it a while now, but it never fails to make me smile! I've used some more of those retro papers for this card, along with some shiny dots. The catd are coloured with my Promarkers and the fab layout is a sketch that I found at Passion for Promarkers this week. I'm really pleased with this card!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

My Time to Craft - Cats & Dogs (I went with cats!)
Passion for Promarkers - the fab sketch
Papertake Weekly - anything goes

A little too much??

Hello peeps! Happy Monday!

Well, what a very wet day it is here in Aldershot! Wet and grey and generally miserable!! So what better way to cheer myself up before dinner than a quick bit of crafting!

Now I have a couple of issues here...first off the colours aren't so vibrant in the photo! Sorry!! Bad photography alert!! My second issue is that I'm not too sure whether there is too much going on here! I love these new papers...them are from a retro inspired pack and they are just gorgeous! But does it look a bit too busy...especially with the tea cup and buttons?? What do you think??

The sentiment I think is perfect....I've found it on a really fab website called Birds Cards, along with the cute tea cup!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Cupcake Craft Challenge - bright as a button - use bright colours and buttons
The Pink Elephant - photo inspiration - I went for the gorgeous colours
