Feeling a bit girlie....

Hello there...Happy Tuesday!

I hope you are well today! Look at me with yet another post....Joe has been spending a lot of time in the garage recently (drift season is about to start and he has cars to get ready)...this means I can spend more time crafting!

I made this card last night while I was in a real girlie mood (I had one of my friends over for dinner and we had a good old gossip)! I was inspired by the fab photo which is The Pink Elephant's challenge theme this week.....

What a pretty bed! I just want to climb in there right now! I also love this cute colour combo, yellow and grey goes together so well and makes for a very pretty card!

Anyway, the combination of my girlie mood and this gorgeous photo led me to make this card....

This is a new stamp that I bought a little while ago and I haven't used yet. Some of you might recognise the pattern though as its made by Kanban...who also make those gorgeous cake/cup stamps that I love so much!

I've coloured my image with my Promarkers, and added a little sparkle with my Stickles to the top of the bath and to the towel (it hasn't come out very well on the photo, but its there I promise!). I then used a combination of plain grey and yellow papers and that gorgeous patterned paper. I have added some faux stitching...I kinda wish that was in white now!

I've left the sentiment quite vague as I thought it could make a lovely Birthday card or a Mother's Day card...or for anyone in your life who needs some R&R!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

The Pink Elephant - photo inspiration
The Corrosive Challenge Blog - all that glitters

A sweet post...

Woo hoo! Its Friday evening!

I am rather excited as I am going to see Stomp at the Ambassadors Theatre in London tomorrow afternoon. I've seen them perfom on TV, but never live and I can't wait! I'm glad this snow is staring to clear....I've been so cold I thought I was turning into a snowman!!

Anyway, I decided to brighten everyone's day with a sweet post. I got inspiration for today's card from The Pink Elephant who have a fab chocolate covered strawberries photo as inspiration for this week's challenge.

With this in mind I went for one of my favourite colour combos....a little bit of red and brown.....

I've stamped my image and coloured it with my Promarkers. I created my background by using a selection of red and brown papers, adding some faux white stitching and a cute mini bow.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Top Tip Tuesday - layers
Passion for Promarkers - favourite colour combo
Papertake Weekly - tie up your loose ends (use a bow!)
The Pink Elephant - photo inspiration
I Love Promarkers - anything goes

Now this wouldn't be a sweet post without some cakes would it?? My lovely mum bought me some new baking equiptment last night when I visited....I am now the proud owner of the cutest little loose bottomed cake tins and a cake decorating turn table! I'm so easily pleased! I decided the best way to thank mum was with some freshly made cakes...and I was feeling a little nostalgic so I went with butterfly cakes (mum used to make us these when we were little!). These little beauties are mocha flavoured cake with coffee icing and chocolate sprinkles on the top!

Thanks for popping by today and thank you for all the lovely comments that people leave me...especially about my baking...I wish I could send you all a cake or two!

Hello There!

Happy Monday! Hope you've had a good day.

Mine has been long...again! I've still got a bit of a pathetic cold...bit sniffly..really annoying cough, but at least its not too bad! Thank you for all your well wishes...I really was feeling sorry for myself on Friday!!

So, its just gone 7pm and its really, really dark already!! What I love about this time of year though is the fab comfort food we all eat on these dark evenings!! After a long day in the office I decided to make one of my favourite chicken dishes for dinner ....chicken breast, chopped up chorizo, tomatos, pepper, onion, whatever beans I have in the cupboard and big glug of wine. Cook it in a hot oven for about 30 minutes. Its so simple to make and really, really tasty...especially when served with warm crusty bread! Yummy!

Anyway, cookery lesson over! I also have a card for you this evening!!

So for this card I have combined my cute little witch digi image from Digistamp Boutique with a fab pumpkin freebie image from Melonheadz. They are both too cute and so I decided that I wanted to use both of them! My images are coloured with my Promarkers and I have added some sparkle to the witches hat and the pumpkins with my Stickles.

I've gone with warm oranges and browns for this autumn inspired card. Combining two patterned papers, along with some plain orange and plain brown paper. I have also added a strip of punched border.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Allsorts - autumn trees and leaves (no trees or leaves on my card, but I have gone with the colours...I hope thats ok!)
Crazy 4 Challenges - Halloween
Cupcake Craft Challenge - Autumn/Winter
Pink Elephant - Photo inspiration

I've picked out those gorgeous orange colours and the pumpkins

What an exciting week!

Hello there...Happy Tuesday! Hope you're keeping well!

Sorry I've been missing for a couple of days....my internet has been playing up, along with everyone elses who has Virgin Media in Aldershot! I had to wait several days for the engineer to pay me a visit...but I'm all fixed now!

Sooo....I've had a busy week...I went to see the Olympic weight lifting at Excel. I enjoyed it soooo much, I'm so pleased that my sister convinced me that I wanted to go!! Those muscley men are amazing (and wear very tight clothes!!).

I'm not sure why we've got union jacks - there were no Team GB members in this class!!

As well as the actual competition, we also got to watch a medal ceremony, which was soooo cool!!

After the Olympics Joe and I hopped down to Bournemouth for a couple of days. The sunshine held, although it was a little cooler than the week before. We paddled in the sea, walked in the gardens, went to the aquarium and saw a performance of Starlight Express. It was so nice to escape!!

Right....time for some cards me thinks!! I've got two for you this evening as I have been catching up on some challenges....

For my first card I've used this cute Pollycraft image, along with some fab blue papers. I've punched some of the light blue paper with my Martha Stewart punch.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Love to Create - punches & dies
Polka Doodles - banners and bunting

My second card is made up of funky black and white paper, some blue and white polka dot paper and some pink ribbon. I've used plain black paper to frame the card and the image. The image is from LOTV and I have coloured it with my Promarkers.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - inspiration
DYSU - polka dots

A little too much??

Hello peeps! Happy Monday!

Well, what a very wet day it is here in Aldershot! Wet and grey and generally miserable!! So what better way to cheer myself up before dinner than a quick bit of crafting!

Now I have a couple of issues here...first off the colours aren't so vibrant in the photo! Sorry!! Bad photography alert!! My second issue is that I'm not too sure whether there is too much going on here! I love these new papers...them are from a retro inspired pack and they are just gorgeous! But does it look a bit too busy...especially with the tea cup and buttons?? What do you think??

The sentiment I think is perfect....I've found it on a really fab website called Birds Cards, along with the cute tea cup!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Cupcake Craft Challenge - bright as a button - use bright colours and buttons
The Pink Elephant - photo inspiration - I went for the gorgeous colours

Feeling a bit like Willy Wonka!

Hey there folks, how are you today?

Well, I have had a lovely weekend...its the first one in ages where I had nothing planned and although I've had a fun month full of adventures I was really pleased to have a weekend to myself! I've spent loads of time crafting and in the kitchen - no surprise there really!!

This month sees Sir Stampalot's 2nd Birthday and to celebrate they are having a fab blog hop...there are loads of prizes up for grabs, pop by their blog to find out more. Their challenge this month is Happy Birthday...and to celebrate I made this Birthday cake card:

I'm not usually very experiemental when it comes to shaped cards, but this weekend I decided to give something new a go. I'm really pleased by how it turned out and I think the card works really well with this sentiment. As well as Sir Stampalot I would also like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Allsorts - photo inspiration - I've picked the colours pink, yellow and brown and the image of a cake

There is also a new challenge over at CES Challenge where they have a "no girls allowed challenge" this week. We all know I'm not a fan of masculine cards, but since I was already out of my comfort zone with the shaped card I thought I'd give this challenge a go too!!

Do the polka dots make it a bit girlie??

Soooo....are you wondering what I got up to in my kitchen this weekend and why I'm feeling a bit like Willy Wonka?? Well, I've been making my own easter eggs! They are surprisingly easy to make and I'm really pleased with what I've made so far...although I think I might go a bit fancy and make some floral decorations for them.....

I've made some large ones....some medium ones....and some teeny tiny ones (which are filled with popping candy!). Of course I've had to sample some of the same ones, just to make sure the popping candy worked and I can tell you that they are yummy!

Anyway, thanks for popping by today,
