Spots and Stripes

Hello there - Happy Saturday!

I hope you are keeping well and you've had a fab week!

This week we have a fab new challenge for you over at Sweet Stampin...this week we want to see lots of spots and stripes on your creations! We are lucky enough to be sponsored by SK Digis this week and they gave each of Team Abi a fab digi to play with....mine was soooo cute (thank you!).

See...I told you it was cute! I think this sentiment suits the image so well!

I've coloured my image with my Promarkers and I've added a background of garden coloured papers...featuring both spots and stripes!

Pop by the Sweet Stampin blog to see how the fab Team Abi has used their images this week....and what spots and stripes they have used. While you're there you can also read about our fab sponsor this month

Show us your balls....

....or any other kind of sporting equipment that you fancy! In fact...there doesn't have to be any equipment at all if you don't fancy it...just some sport!

Hello there....I hope you are well today and have had a lovely week!

This week we have a fab new challenge for you at My Time to Craft...this week as you can probably tell we have a themed challenge - we want to see some kind of sport on your creations! Whatever takes your fancy as long as its a sport!

Now my card this week has come about from a request from a work colleague. He needed a thank you card for his housemates....who happen to love golf! My cute little golfing couple have been coloured with my Promarkers and then I have fixed them onto a collection of green and brown papers. I think all those little white polka dots almost look like mini golf balls!

Bold and Beautiful!

Hello there,

Happy National Afternoon Tea week! I hope you've had a spot of tea and cake this week to celebrate!

As well as a host of different posts on our afternoon tea blog this week, I have also celebrated the wonderful tradition of afternoon tea with my work colleagues by taking some of my tea cups and homemade mini Victoria sponges into the office!

So, onto this week's challenge over at Sweet Stampin....this week we have an interesting theme for you.....we want to see your bold and beautiful creations! Now this got me thinking for a while...bold and beautiful...that could be so many things! Then it struck me...in my eyes there is nothing more beautiful than a perfectly laid afternoon tea table....so with this in mind I got crafting.....

It is definitely bold with that fab backing paper and I also think its quite beautiful! I have stamped my images and coloured them with my Promarkers. I also added a little bit of sparkle to the cakes with my Stickles. I have fixed my backing papers in place and then arranged my stamped afternoon tea images in place using a combination of glue and 3D sticky pads.

Pop by the Sweet Stampin challenge blog to see how the other DT members have interpreted the theme this week. While you're there you can find out about all our fab sponsors this week....

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Allsorts Challenge - use your new stash (the fab paper was bought this week!)

So I hope wherever you are in the world you have indulged in a little tea and cake this week, and maybe a scone or two!

Winter Animals

Hello there!
Happy Wednesday - I hope you are well and you're having a fab week!

Today is the beginning of our monthly challenge over at Christmas at Sweet Stampin (I'm not sure what happened to July....it felt like only yesterday that I was making my snowman card!!). Anyway, this month's challenge is winter animals....

I've opted for a cute Digi Stamp Boutique penguin as the main focus of my card, I have coloured him using my Promarkers. I then decided to create an elegant background using blue and brown backing papers....and a herd of reindeer! I'm not entirely sure that the cute penguin matches the elegant background that well.....is he too cute looking??

POp by the Christmas at Sweet Stampin challenge blog to see which winter animals appear on the DT cards this month. While you're there you can also learn about our fab sponsor this month....

I'd also like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Put a hole in it!

Morning All,

I hope you are well today and had a lovely week.

I've been back at work this week.....I can't believe my week off flew by so quickly! In fact nor can anyone at work...people keep asking when I'm on leave and can't believe it when I say I've already had my holiday!! I feel a bit cheated!!

Anyway, we have another challenge for you this week at My Time to Craft this week - the theme this week is "aperture"....basically we want to see a hole on your card somewhere!!

Here is my creation....I've gone back to my roots this week and I've gone with cupcakes!!

I've also gone a little spotty!

I love this cute stamp and I haven't used it in a while, once stamped the image was coloured with my Promarkers and I have added a little sparkle with my Stickles. I have used two different spotty papers and some spotty ribbon. I have stamped a hole in my card and have stamped a mini cupcake inside the card. My sentiment is also stamped.

Get Well Wishes

Hello there...what's this...another card from me?? I know, its shocking...but I have finally managed to spend some quality time crafting!

Anyway, today I have a really quick card for you....this is a special request card that someone at work asked me to make for them.....

I have gone with a soothing taupe and light blue colour combo for this get well card. My image has been stamped and then I have added texture to the card using big blobs of Stickles. I attached the image once dry onto a pretty doily, giving it a very girlie feel! I have outlined the doily with a pretty blue Promarker.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

I Love Promarkers - use a doily
The Pink Elephant - add texture

If you get the chance pop by there fab blogs to see the gorgeous DT cards that have been created this week!

I hope to see you again soon!

Keeping it Simple

Hello there...Happy Hump Day!

It's Wednesday evening already - woo hoo! This weekend is round four of the British Drifting Championships and I will be watching Joe compete at the Lydden Hill track in Kent. Fingers crossed that he qualifies this round.

Soooo....I have a simple little card for you this evening....stamped with a newly acquired stamp!

I really love this stamp - the paper is blank when you stamp the initial image, you can then stamp the message of your choice onto the paper....or leave it blank!

I've kept this card simple, letting the cute stamp speak for itself. I have coloured the keys of the typewriter with my Promarkers, tying it in with the blue backing paper and doodling.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly - anything goes
Passion for Promarkers - clean and simple

If you get the chance pop by these fab blogs to see the gorgeous DT cards that have been created this week.

If you get the chance you could also pop by my afternoon tea blog....we have sampled some really unusual teas recently - including a burlesque afternoon tea! Read all about it at Tea with Me and Friends!

Oh I do like to be beside the seaside.....

.....I hope you're all singing along now!

Morning All,

I hope you are well and have had a lovely week! This week's challenge over at Sweet Stampin is "By the Sea/Ocean" - what a fab challenge to get creative with!

I decided to make a personal card this week....creating a seaside gatefold card with some fab Pollycraft images.

Here is the outside....

And here is the inside....

Very nice I hear you say...but how is it a personal card?? Well....Joe and I had our first date on the 1st August six years ago, and each year we take the same week off work ....in the beginning we always used to go surfing in Newquay during this week. Unfortunately this year we're not in Newquay, we're at home instead....but I thought I would still have us surfing - even if its only on a card (not that I am saying that those cute characters look anything like Joe or I!!!)

Pop by the Sweet Stampin challenge blog to see how the other members of Team Abi have used the theme on their cards! While you're there you can check out our fab sponsors this week;

I'd also like to enter this card at:

Passion for Promarkers - Summertime Blues (use blue and one other colour)

Simon Says Stamp - anything goes
Totally Papercrafts - inspired by a song - "oh I do like to be beside the seaside"
