Black and Red!

Hello Campers! Hope you're well today!

I've been playing with those new stamps of mine this evening and I've come up with the following card....it's not quite how I wanted it to look, but I had fun creating it!

I love these Kanban stamps, I think they're so cool! I've been practising my colouring with my Promarkers again...it's a bit dodgy today, but practice makes perfect! The checked backing paper is something I've stamped myself...hence the wonkiness! Then I created the black and gold polka dot paper using clear ink and cosmic shimmer...you should see the state of my fingers now!! The bunting is also a stamp that I got free with a magazine...I've cut the bunting out and attached it using 3D sticky pads.

This card is for the "It's a mum thing or just be girlie" challenge over at Papertake Weekly and the "it's your choice" challenge over at Paper Cutz Challenge.

Right...I'm off to practice my colouring some more! Thanks for popping by today.

It's a male thing!

Morning! Hope you're well today.

I'm very glad its Saturday at last....I had a mini lie-in this morning which is always great! Plus I've got two whole days with not much planned...therefore I see loads of crafting and baking ahead of me! Woo hoo!

I have a little card for you this morning perfect for the man in your life...

I usually really struggle with male Birthday cards....I'm much happier with girlie colours and sparkles! However, I got some fab stencils free with a craft magazine this week and one of them was a shirt and tie stencil. I'm pleased with this card, and when mum saw it she said I could easily turn this into a Father's Day card too!

I wanted to keep the card quite bright and fresh, so I decided to use a zesty green paper along with the bale brown, instead of the usual blues that I'd probably use for a male card. I used 3D sticky pads under the collar of the shirt  to make it stand out. There is still a bit of a girlie touch on the card....as I couldn't resist using flowery paper for the tie!

I'm going to enter this in two challenges - Allsorts has a male/boy theme this week and Paper Cutz has a your choice theme (so I've gone with male birthday card!). Pop over to both of these blogs if you get the chance as they feature some really gorgeous DT cards.

Thanks for popping by my blog today. Watch this space, I'll be back with more cards over the weekend and maybe some tasty cakes or biscuits too!

I seem to be a bit broken!

Normally I love Christmas....I'm usually annoying Joe at the beginning of Christmas asking when we're putting the tree up. I love everything about Christmas - the cheesy music, the tree, all the goodies you can eat, decorating the house and spending time with friends and family. But this year is different....I'm just not feeling it! This really isn't normal for me!

As usual I've been busy making Christmas cards for other people to send, so I decided to spend this morning making all my cards. I've got Christmas music on, there is a huge Christmas tree next to me and I'm surrounded by cards for my work colleagues, friends and family...but still the Christmas spirit seems to be missing!

I've even decided to mass produce my Christmas card this year...something I don't usually like doing! This was me earlier this morning mid-production.....

I've gone with a snowflake theme for my cards this year. My poor colleagues have listened to me moan about the cold and the snow so much recently that I thought a few snowflakes might be funny! I've hand stamped various snowflake images onto white cards using a lovely blue ink. I've also stamped "Merry Christmas" in the corner. Once dry, I then embellished my snowflakes using sparkly stick on jewels and gems from my stash. I've used silvers and blues to add a little sparkle.

Here is the finished card:

This card is for several challenges this week:

Allsorts Challenge - Last minute Christmas
Paper Cutz Challenge - snowflakes or snowmen
ABC Challenge - J is for jewels and gems

I'm about half way adding the gems and sparkle to these cards, I'm hoping by the time I've finished I might be feeling a bit more festive.

Thanks for stopping by today and thank you for all your lovely comments, I really enjoy reading them.

Tea for Two

Morning All, the sun is shining, all is good! I got up early for my shower this morning, only for someone else in the house to turn a tap on somewhere else and freeze me mid shower! Bbrrr!

Another blogger has mentioned the Penny Black at Allsorts challenge blog, they run monthly challenges which involve a theme and of course a Penny Black image. The theme for this month's challenge is Punch Away. They are currrently looking for new DT members and since I seem to have developed quite a taste for stamping I thought I give it a go....

This cute image is from the Micey Days stamp set...isn't it lovely?! I decided on a shabby chic feel for this card. For the Penny Black at Allsorts challenge I used my trusty flower punches. I've also followed the recipe from this week's Paper Cutz challenge:

1 ribbon - the pink and white polka dot bit
2 buttons
3 colors - my colours are maroon, pink and cream

Right, time for some breakfast I think....I've also got a lovely treat for my morning coffee today as I baked coffee cupcakes last night - yummy!

Have a fab day everyone and thanks for popping by!

A Blue Birthday!

Evening All....yes, me again...two posts in one day! There's no stopping me!

I got home from work this evening and decided I wanted to do some more challenges....so here I am! My lovely boyfriend has been sick this weekend...I put it down to man flu and he is feeling much better today....but now my throat is starting to feel a bit sore! I really hope I haven't caught man flu...there's nothing worse apparently! Hopefully a nice early night will make me feel better!

So, here is this evenings card:

My camera hasn't done this card any justice really, on here its looking a bit bland, but its quite pretty in real life...honest! So, this card is for three different challenges:

Papertake Weekly - it's recipe time - 3,2,1
ABC Challenge Blog - B is for blue
Paper Cutz Challenge - Anything goes!

Paper Cutz is a new blog that I've discovered, so I thought I'd join in the fun! My recipe for Papertake is three buttons, 2 shiny sticky gems and 1 brad. Papertake wanted our project to be at least 80% blue...I have used a little green and yellow, but apart from that its blue all the way! All three blogs have some gorgeous DT examples for their challenges - take a peek!

Right, I'm heading off now...no more posts today I promise!

Thanks for stopping by today,
