In the garden!

Hello there!

Happy Thursday! Sooooo...this weather has taken a turn for the worse again in the UK....the sunshine seems to have gone back into hiding again and it's been rather wet and windy this week!

Still, that hasn't stopped me popping into the garden and making sure everything is growing well. As some of you know this is the first time in years that I've had my own garden and I have really embraced it! I've been planting all over the place!

Here are my new tubs that Joe's mum gave me...

I have some pretty pots on one of my outside walls...

Here are my potatos and onions....my potatos are in need of some extra earth....

My green fingers have inspired me to create this card.....to be honest this is probably the one thing that I'd like to add to my garden. I have a pretty summer house, but I would really love a green house!

I love this stamp, its rather large, but I love the detail. I've coloured my image and added some glossy accents to the windows to give a glass effect. I've then used pretty papers and a punched border in the background.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Allsorts - in the garden
Di's Digi Designs - beautiful borders

Pop by all these fab blogs to see the gorgeous DT cards that have been created.

Thanks for popping by today,

A little bit Christmassey...

....woo hoo....a week day post! I haven't done one of these in ages! Hope you're keeping well and having a good week so far.

The wedding last weekend was wonderful....it was a very beautiful and elegant affair in London...the bride looked stunning and everyone had a wonderful time....well Joe didn't really like his suit...as you'll see from this photo...but he did smile eventually! In the end I was really pleased with my outfit...even my oversized fascinator looked good!! The ceremony took place in a church which was lit by gorgeous candles, then the reception took place at One Marylebone...there was gorgeous food, lots of champagne and lots of dancing! A good time was had by all!

This evening I've been catching up with some card orders for Christmas...but I also had some time to make a card for myself. I decided to stick with the theme of the evening and make a Christmas card....

I'm quite pleased with this card as I have combined lots of different elements and was a bit worried it'd look a bit silly. I'd like to enter this card in two challenges:

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - borders and flowers
Allsorts - pennants or bunting (I opted for bunting!)

Right, its nearly bedtime I think!
Thank you for stopping by today.

Pretty Borders!

Evening All! Hope you've had a fab Friday!

I spent my Friday at the Mandarin Oriental in London again - work this time though! I had a pretty rubbish start to my day...by 8:30am I had already ruined two pairs of tights and turned up in the foyer of the hotel with toothpaste all over my cheek.....why oh why did I not look at myself in the mirror before?!? The day got much better however and my event went well. Woo hoo!

This evening I came home to a rare Friday at home (I'm usually at Joe's by now) and decided some crafting was in order...that and a large glass of wine! I decided to check out the challenge over on Bah! Humbug! this week.....they want to see punched borders....I recently got my new border punch and so think this is a fab challenge! I set to work and came up with this cheeky little chappie.....

The DT cards are all gorgeous, take a peek here!

I love making this little snowman, he's so simple to make and looks so cute! He's featured in my Christmas collection over the last two years! He is simply cut from white card, I make him a hat and scarf and a carrot nose out of scrap paper and give him googly eyes because that always makes me smile!

I used my new martha stewart punch for the borders - I love this pattern as it suits so many cards...a very good find! I have to say I also love making Christmas cards so I am pleased I found the Bah! Humbug challenge blog to get me started early this year!

Right, I'm off to make some beaded bookmarks now and maybe another easel card or two!

Thanks for stopping by,
Wedgie Xxx

PS - have you stopped sniggering about me and my toothpaste cheek yet?!?
