A difficult challenge for me....

Hello there,

Me again! This time I am back with a new challenge from My Time to Craft.

Now, every so often us crafters come across cards that we just don't like making. For me its Sympathy cards....now don't get me wrong, having lost my own dad at a younger than expected age, I know exactly the sentiment behind the cards and was touched by the amount of sympathy cards that me and my family received during that sad period. And maybe that's exactly why I struggle when I am asked to create one...I'm not sure. All I know is that I prefer to steer away from the usual imagery found on Sympathy cards and try and express the sentiment using different images.

So when I found out that the challenge this week at My Time to Craft was "Sympathy" cards I got my thinking cap on and searched my stamp collection for a suitable image....

I have used this lovely stamp on several different cards now, each featuring a different sentiment and I love how versatile it is. I have stamped my typewriter onto a blank kraft card, stamped my sentiment and then added a little detailing with a white pen. I am really pleased with how the card turned out.

For more inspiration pop by the My Time to Craft challenge blog to see the lovely cards designed by the fab DT.

Thank you for popping by today,
Wedgie xxx

I think this is a brilliant Sympathy Card. It's muted and simple but it says it all! Hugs, Lesley
