Hello there!
For today's card I've come over all girlie! No surpirse there really....I think everyone knows how much I love my girlie cards! After work and before my Brownie planning meeting I had fun playing with a new fab sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday and a lovely new cupcake stamp that I got free with a magazine!
I'd also like to enter this card in the new Creative Cottage Challenge where the theme is "something new". This stamp is part of a new Papermania range which is simply yummy! It hasn't come out very well in the photo, but I've added some sparkle to the icing of the cupcakes using my trusty stickles!
I forgot to tell you yesterday...I had my first new experience of 2011....while at my physiotherapy session yesterday I was stabbed with needles!! Yes, I got to try accupuncture...and to be honest I'm not sure that I liked it! It was supposed to help with my knee and to help me sleep (I'm finding it really hard to sleep at the moment - both dropping off and staying asleep seem to be a problem!!).
Right, talking of sleep I need to at least try and get a decent nights sleep! Thanks for stopping by today, hopefully I'll see you again soon.

All pink and purple!
Hello there, thanks for stopping by today. I hope you're keeping well!
I have two cards for you this evening, for three different challenges. The cards also have something else in common as they both feature embellishments from The Creative Cottage shop.
My second card features my favourite colour purple and is for this fortnight's challenge over at the Creative Cottage where they have called for untradtional Christmas cards. I came across this lovely digi image when browsing their shop earlier - isn't it fab!
Although gold is a common colour at Christmas time it is usually used with reds and greens...I think it looks fab with purple too! I've used purple backing papers, along with a gold tag that I had in my stash. I attached the tree using 3D sticky pads and then finshed the card off with some lovely glitter glue.
Pop over to all three blogs to see some gorgeous DT cards...don't forget the Creative Cottage Shop too!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you'll leave a comment to let me know you've visited me today!

My first card is for this month's challenge over at Sir Stampalot where the theme is "Travel the world", I've gone for an oriental theme using this lovely lady and fab cherry blossom backing paper from the Creative Cottage. I think the pinks and black work very well together. The layout for this card comes from a blog that I've only just discovered called Sunday Sketch and Stamp. They run fortnightly sketch challenges and the only other required element is a stamped image either tradtional or digital - I've opted for digital on this occassion. The sketch is lovely to work with and I think looks fab with the oriental theme.

Somone special at Christmas
Morning All,
A really quick post this morning, as I need to get my skates on...but I wanted to share a card with you quickly and I know I won't get a chance after work. The Creative Cottage have given us a lovely theme this week "someone special at Christmas"...so I decided to make a card for my mum.
I don't usually give Christmas cards to my parents, probably because I see them so much, but I know how much my love loves this stamp and so I thought a card using this image would be lovely.
I've used blue backing paper, a lovely snowdrop paper and some more of that gorgeous blue ribbon for the background. I then stamped the mini version of the tree twice. I backed these with some lovely white shimmer paper before attaching them to the card with 3D sticky pads.
I then went mad with my blue and white glitter glues! Although you can't see that from this photo!
Finally I decided to handwrite my sentiment on white card and back this with some blue paper.
I now need to hope that mum doesn't suddenly become web savvy and find this post!!
Thanks for stopping by today,

Hooray...It's Wednesday!
I love Wednesdays! It's the middle of the working week, and I get a new sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday!
I started new medication for my knee today which is both good news and bad. I really hope this medication works as I've been having issues with my knee since last November now, I can't believe its been so long! On the bad side I'm currently suffering one of the main side effects of the drug - nausea. I've got to take this medication once a week for the next three months and I really hope I don't spend all my Wednesday afternoons feeling sick!!
Oh well, things could be much worse and at least I had a fab sketch to play with when I got home from work. Arlana has created another lovely sketch for us to use, which I decided to flip again this week!

Isn't that a lovely sketch? Pop over to the SSW Blog to see how all the fab DT used the sketch. As well as an assortment of papers, I've used some mini cupcakes and lots of glitter glue to create this card.
The eagle eyed amongst you will notice something a little bit different on this card...yes I've added some embossed cupcakes! This is for the embossing challenge over at the Creative Cottage. The challenge this week is to use either dry or wet embossing on your project. I still haven't got the hang of wet embossing (not sure why but I just can't do it!) so I decided to use my trusty Cuttlebug to make these cute little cupcakes.
I'm off to make a Birthday card that someone at work has requested...its for a man who is turning 50 and he enjoys dancing, piano playing and good wine. I'm looking forward to making this card!
Thanks for stopping by today and thank you to everyone for your lovely comments, I always love reading them.

A cupcake with a difference...
...hello there....another Wednesday is upon us! As you all know I love Wednesdays because its time for a new challenge from two of my favourite blogs!
I've had a nice evening with my Brownies tonight, we had less girls than normal so we decided to make pizza! The girls loved getting their hands messy with the dough and I have to say they are very creative with their toppings! It was a fun evening! I then came home and got a bit creative with a new mini kit that I've bought from the Creative Cottage, this card is for the Creative Cottage challenge this week where the theme is Halloween:
I told you that it was a cupcake with a difference! This is a fab mini kit with papers and embellishments, Tracy is a very talented lady! Pop over to the Creative Cottage shop to see all her other delights...plus at the moment you can save 20% on anything you buy! As well as the mini kit I added some orange and purple papers from my stash and some fab black glitter - spooky! The DT have all created some fab cards, pop over to their blog and take a peek!
The wonderful layout for this card comes from my other favourite blog...yes you've guessed it...it's from Arlana at Sweet Sketch Wednesday. This is yet another wonderful sketch, and I really enjoyed using it. Take a peek at the blog to see all the gorgeous DT cards.
Finally you'll notice that this isn't a particularly neat offering...there is quite a bit of distressing within my layers. Don't worry...I did it on purpose...this for the "distressing" theme from the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge! I'm not keen on distressing....but I thought it would work well on a spooky halloween card! Take a peek at the blog to see all the gorgeous DT cards.
Right, I'm off for a bit of blog hopping now!
Thanks for popping by today, oh and I wanted to say a big hello to all my new followers!

What a wet evening!
Hello there....what horrible weather! It's so wet and grey out there!
Ohhh...I'm a lucky girl, my Dad has just bought me a steaming mug of tea....I'm normally a coffee fan and I'm also partial to the odd cup of green tea...but there is nothing like steaming hot tea when you're feeling cold! I thought I'd share a little card with you to brighten up the day a bit....

The fab layout for this card comes from Arlana at Sweet Sketch Wednesday....check out the blog for all the gorgeous DT cards. I've used a selection of papers in pink, chocolate and yellow, plus one of the micey days images that I love. I didn't know if this colour combo would work, but I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.
I've used a fab pink glitter pen for my stitches, along with some sticky gems to add some bling....this is all for this fortnight's challenge over at the Creative Cottage, Suzie has picked the theme of "bling it on!"...and you all know that I can't resist a bit of bling on my cards! Take a peek at all the DT cards for more sparkle!
Right, I'm off for some blog hopping now...can't wait to see everyone's gorgeous cards!

I'm freezing!!!
Wow...don't go on a summer holiday just as the weather is changing back home! I had a fab week with Becca in Tenerife (despite airport delays)....it was windy out there, but it was still a lot warmer than the UK! I need my thermals on already!
.....I am so pleased with how this card has turned out, even if I do say so myself! I've used a gorgeous black and white spotty paper, along with some pink card. I created the personalised sentiment on my computer.
The sillouette is a die cut that I bought at a craft fair on Saturday afternoon....yes I know I only got back on Saturday, but I still managed to get some crafty shopping in! You can't really see it in this photo, but I have added a bit of pink glitter glue to the bag...you know how I love my sparkle!
I'm entering this card in the "anything goes" challenge over at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge....I love these challenges, so simple! The DT cards are all gorgeous, take a peek at the blog to see them.
My last card is for a mum who is always rushing around.....this card is for the Allsorts Challenge this week which has asked for a card which features three different punches. Take a peek at their blog to see the gorgeous DT cards.
What a lot of cards! I'm off to join in the Creative Cottage blog hop before I go to bed!

Hello everyone, I hope you're all well! I really missed my crafting last week.....yes, silly me didn't take any with me! I had a lot of books and magazines, but nothing crafty! I won't be making that mistake again!
Right...I've been asked to make some personalised cards and as they'll see they seem to fit well with several challenges....I'll kick start with my favourite one....

The Creative Cottage Ladies are having an exciting week, as well as a new challenge they are also celebrating the opening of their new shop with a fab blog hop.....its only on for two days so you'll have to be quick if you want to join in!
Their challenge this week is "Birthday Boy" and the DT have created some gorgeous cards. Here is mine.....
I've used a blue and silver theme and kept the card very simple....perfect for a stylish Dad!

Celebrate in Style!
Evening All, Hope you're all well and having a lovely week....I love bank holiday weekends, don't you? It's already Wednesday evening! Woo hoo!
So, here I am with a card for two different challenges.....
So, here I am with a card for two different challenges.....
I've used a collection of pink papers to create this Birthday card fit for a stylish friend. I've cut a little dress out of pink paper, wrapped it with ribbon and added a little sparkly gem for some glamour.
This card fits in with the "celebrations" challenge over at the Creative Cottage Challenge Blog. Whatever the celebration, the ladies at Creative Cottage want to see your cards! The DT have all created gorgeous cards for inspiration.
This card also fits in with the "Just One" challenge at Papertake Weekly - where there must be just one of something....it can be one colour, one image, one piece of paper.....anything really. As you can see I went with colour! Again, the DT have created some gorgeous cards to inspire us.
I'm on a bit of a mission at the moment....I really want to find a pair of jeans that fit me properly! I'm fed up of buying jeans that seem to fall down or that are just generally uncomfortable! So, I've decided to go on a shopping spree where I concentrate soley on finding the perfect pair of jeans! My poor sister has volunteered to help me...I think I'll have to buy her a nice cake and a cup of coffee in exchange for her assistance! Do any of you have a make of jeans that you'd recommend?? I know one of Girls Aloud travelled to America to find the perfect pair of jeans....I hope I don't have to travel that far! Although a shopping trip in America would be very nice!
Anyway, I'm off to make more cards. The stamps I won last week have arrived and I want to get stamping! Thanks Catherine - they're lovely.

Christmas Cheer
Evening All,
Hope you are well and looking forward to the weekend! I thought I'd aim to get a card posted early this evening rather than at gone 11pm when I should be winding down!
I've used a fab sketch provided by Sweet Sketch Wednesday for my card today.....

Its a lovely sketch thats looks brilliant when finished, but was actually quite easy to put together. The main inspiration for the theme came from the Creative Cottage Challenge blog....can you guess the theme?? Yes, it's Christmas! I've used very traditional colours for this card and I didn't need a sentiment as my backing paper has my message on! My poinsettia trio in the corner is inspired by Die Cut Dreams who have called for poinsettias in their challenge this week.
If you are stuck for ideas for any of these challenges pop by the different blogs and see what the brilliant DT came up with!
Right, I'm being spoilt this evening....mum is cooking dinner for me....I've got meatballs and they smell wonderful....I'm off for some dinner!
Thanks for popping by today, see you soon!

Cupcakes!
Ok, I know this is my second post tonight...but a yummy cupcake that I ate earlier inspired me to finish off a project that I had been working on....
I wanted to create a fun, bright card using these cute little cupcake images that are from a Creative Cottage digi kit. As you know I love easel cards and I have used this sentiment more than once before, and I was keen to use both again! I've used coloured and patterned papers, a little acetate, the printed sentiment and a button as well as the digi images.
This card fits in with three different challenges:
The Creative Cottage - Acetate - my acetate is used over the mini cupcake at the bottom
Cute Card Thursday -Whateva - any theme goes!
Three fab challenges - take a look at all the gorgeous DT cards that have been made!

Cute Cupcake Card
Hello everyone! Hope you're well! I've just been bopping around my kitchen to "Wake me up before you go"....I love that song, it never fails to get me singing!
So, last week I survived the dentist, this week I have survived the hygenist which was a compleltly new experience to me. I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed my appointment! I'd always thought my boyfriend was a bit odd for loving his appointments so much, but I can honestly say I can see the appeal - I suppose don't knock it till you try it!
For my card I have used a selection of pink card and paper, along with a very cute cupcake which is part of a Creative Cottage kit. I've used 3D sticky pads to make the icing stand out a little and I've accesorised with mini shiny stars.
A cute girlie card to wish someone a sweet Birthday!
I'm being a tad bit naughty this evening - I'm off to meet my friend Anika for a gossip....the chosen venue is our local Krispy Kreme doughnut place! I'd love to say I go there for the coffee! Ha, ha!
Thanks for stopping by today, I'll be back soon with more creations.

Touchy Feely Card!
Well hello there! How are you today? What do you think of my pretty new blog look?? I decided it was time for a change....and I love polka dots nearly as much as cupcakes! Hee, hee!
So, I'm here this evening with a card for this fortnight's Creative Cottage Challenge which has been set by the lovely Becky. She would like to see some touchy feely projects this week - anything with a bit of texture...whether that be ribbon, fabric, embossing....anything that makes you want to run your fingers across the card! So here is my creation.......
For my tactile elements I have used two different ribbons (one is very shiny and the other a little bit more matt), some purple fabric (which I cut into a mini dress!), some tiny beads that are sewn onto the ribbon and a little sequin to complete my dress.
I've also added a bit of texture by using 3D sticky pads to fix my sentiment in place and lift it off the card.
The perfect girlie card!
Right, I'm off to do a bit of blog hopping, I want to see what everyone's been up to recently. It'll also take my mind off the fact that I've got to go to the dentist in the morning....I really don't like visits to the dentist!
Thanks for stopping by today,

No cards allowed!
Evening all - isn't it lovely and hot today...not that you'd know it my ice box office at work!
First off I just wanted to say thank you for everyone's get well soon wishes. Its so lovely to log on and read them all. I'm pleased to say that I am feeling much better now...summer bugs are not nice!
Right, on to a brilliant challenge from my favourite card challenge blog the Creative Cottage. This week it's the turn of the lovely Tracy to set the challenge and she has set a fab one......as my post title suggests...she wants projects that do not include cards! Now for a card maker that's a bit of a toughie! If you're stuck for ideas on this one, pop over to their blog and take a peek at the brilliant DT designs!
I've used layers of pink card, the paper and image from the freebie set, a yummy cake recipe that I've used a million times and some sparkly dots for a little kitchen glamour! Perfect for a Birthday pressie.....or even a just because pressie!
There is also a DT call at Creative Cottage which I've entered....I love their blog and it would be brilliant if I could be part of their team...wish me luck!
Right, I was a little naughty at lunchtime today...my feet somehow took me into a local craft department and somehow I accidently bought some new clear stamps! Whoops! So, I'm off now to put them to good use!
Thanks for stopping by today,

Here is what I went with.....
.......a yummy cake recipe card (it's not a greetings card honest - there is no inside!)...the perfect gift for a cake baking loving friend! I have to admit I was a little stumped to begin with, so I took a look around the Creative Cottage blog for some inspiration and came across the July freebie. The lovely paper and cupcake image gave me the inspiration for this recipe card.

Challenge time!
Evening Everyone! What a lovely day it's been today! Plus England won their "do or die" match! I'm not a footy fan - never have been and I don't watch the England matches either....but I'm always amazed at the comments that I get from other people when I say that. Apparently it's awful that I don't want to support my country.....even though I don't enjoy the sport! All I can say is that I'd prefer to be crafting!
Anyway, thats my little grip over with...on to today's challenges...I've been slack again this week...and as usual I'm blaming my computer! I haven't been able to download the photos onto my computer, which is obviously a bit of a problem!
I'm kinda sorted now, so here is my first card.....
This card has been designed for two challenges - Winter Wonderland who gave me the theme of festive trees and Allsorts who provided me with the fab layout. You should pop over to both blogs - the DT have created some wonderful cards.
I've used a cute little tree topper for the festive tree theme, and I've also used a tree patterened backing paper. I love this sketch, I think it looks wonderful and I will be using it again!
My second card is for the Creative Cottage Challenge blog this week, which has the theme of pearls and swirls......
I was sooooo excited when I popped over to their blog this morning to see the challenge and the gorgeous DT cards...guess what...I was the random person picked for last week's prize! I'm so lucky as I love the Creative Cottage products. I've already contacted the lovely Tracy and she has sent me my prize.....the Sending Love kit....and as you can see I've already put it to good use! Thank you ladies, I love my new kit! I love the pink colour used in this kit and I think it works really well with my blue swirls and pearls! I've given the little bear a lift by using 3D sticky pads behind the heart.
Right, I've just realised how late it is and my bed is calling me!
Thanks for popping by today,

It Takes Two!
Hi there! We're half way through the week already! Woo hoo! Wednesday's may be a bit hectic, what with Brownies and Guides, but I'm nearly always happy on a Wednesday! The weekend is just around the corner now! I know I shouldn't wish my life away, but there just aren't enough hours during the day to work and craft!! Hee, hee!
Today's post is dedicated to one of my favourite weekly challenges - The Creative Cottage. This week's challenge is called "it takes two" and to enter we need to produce a card and a matching item.
You'll see that I went for the easy option...a card and matching gift tag! The DT ladies have been much more creative, take a peek here to set their gorgeous sets!
I've used Creative Cottage papers for both my card and the gift tag, in fact this was the freebie from May. I love this cute little bear, he's soooo sweet! I also love the green and yellow colour combo, it's fresh and zingy and looks fab with the grey bear.
I added the sentiments on my computer using text boxes before printing out the digi images. In hindsite I wish I'd printed the image for the card a little smaller because it didn't leave me much room to add any other embellishment to the card! Still, he's so cute he deserves to be centre of attention!
I made the gift tag out of yellow card and more of the Creative Cottage paper, this time I used a much smaller digi image and I changed the sentiment.
I punched a hole in the tag and added some lovely green ribbon from my stash.
I hope you're having a good week and hope you stop by again soon.

Going Pink!
Evening everyone! I hope you've had a lovely Wednesday!
I didn't have my usual Guides meeting this evening because we're going canoeing tomorrow evening instead......well I use the term "we" very loosely.......the Guides will be canoeing.......I'll be watching from the side! Hee, hee! So, after Brownies I decided to come home and take part in a bloghop...this is something I've never done before and I had so much fun! Its lovely to visit lots of different blogs and see how talented the crafters of the world are! This morning I stumbled upon the Sweet Sketch Wednesday blog which is fab! They are celebrating their first anniversary by having a bloghop. You should pop by and see all the gorgeous cards that the DT have created using this week's sketch.

This was a fun sketch to use...I'll be heading back over the coming weeks to see all the other sketches they design for their challenges.

A Creative Cottage Challenge!
Hello everyone...wow it's late...or really early depending on which way you look at it!
I decided that I probably wouldn't get a chance on Friday to get my Creative Cottage Challenge entry posted....so I thought I'd do it now! Yes, I know I should be in bed....but hey I get a little lie-in in the morning so its ok!
I decided to keep my card nice and simple....that way I wouldn't be tempted to stray toward the glitter! I've used a fab digi image from the Creative Cottage - its part of their June freebie.....take a look on their blog for more details!
Right, I'm off to bed now as I am getting a bit sleepy and I have a fab day ahead of me...that reminds me......
I'm hoping to post again on Saturday so I can tell you all about my fun day planned in London for Becca!
Thanks for popping by today,

This week's challenge over at the Creative Cottage is Father's Day - as you know I'm not keen on male cards....there is no glitter and men don't tend to like pink very much! The fab DT ladies have created some lovely cards as inspiration though, so pop over and take a peek!

One for the boys!
Evening All - we're half way through the week - woo hoo!
Well I'm in a much better crafty mood today...after my usual Wednesday night at Brownies and Guides I decided to sit at my craft desk and try a new card technique out. I needed a card for a boy for this week's challenge over at the Creative Cottage and I hope they don't mind that mine is one for a rather little boy!! Take a peek at the lovely Creative Cottage blog to see the gorgeous DT cards for some inspiration!

This is a shaker card that I've made for a baby boy. I saw an article in a craft magazine recently about shaker cards and decided to give it a go. I was actually surprised at how easy it is to make these fab cards!
All you really need is some white and coloured papers, some acetate, some seed beads and sequins or other small items to put in the shaker bit and lots of 3D sticky pads! Easy peasy!
You can make these gorgeous cards in all sorts of shapes......
Anyway, panic over - it looks like I might not have lost my crafty mojo after all! Thanks to everyone for their comments after my last grumpy post! Your comments are always so lovely and supportive.

Fancy folds!
Morning All! What a lovely sunny morning!
Another really quick post this morning...it would have been longer, but its taking this stupid computer so long to do anything that I'm now running out of time!!
Over at the Creative Cottage this week they have got a fab challenge that fits in nicely with my new found love of easel cards! Their challenge is fancy folds! The DT cards are so gorgeous, take a peek here to see them.
So this is my card, inspired by a fab William Gladstone quote about tea! Everything is made using paper from my stash, I found the template for the teacups in a craft magazine.
Right, I really must go....I'll be back soon with more cards!

Cupcake and snowflakes!
Ok, before I show you the cards that I just made I want to share a very valuable lesson that I just learnt.....never, ever eat pizza at your craft desk!!!! Yes, I realise now how very silly I was being, and yes I managed to get pizza sauce on both of these cards!! Luckily they weren't finished yet and so I managed to avoid having the sauce as the main feature of the cards!!
Right, lesson over with.....I've made two cards this evening for two different challenges....first off is the fab challenge that has been set at the Creative Cottage this week...they want to see projects that feature food or drink. As you probably know by now I love cupcakes...I love making them for my cards, I love baking them and I love eating them!! Hee, hee!
I did think about having a pretty background and then having a big snowflake on top, but I decided when I finished stamping and punching that I really liked this simple effect. I've added a little glitter glue and a sentiment made on my computer. Take a peek here to see the lovely DT cards.

I've used this sentiment before with cocktails, it seems that it works just as well with cupcakes! I've used some gorgeous papers from the Creative Cottage for the background and the cupcake is made out of paper from my stash. Cupcakes feature quite a lot in the DT cards, take a peek here to see their cute creations.
The second card I created for this week's challenge over at Bah! Humbug! where they wanted to see cards featuring snowflakes.......

So, can you guess where the pizza sauce landed?? Hee, hee!
Right, I'm off to my Brownie meeting now...we've got pack holiday this weekend so need to make sure all the girls know what to bring with them....I've got my fingers crossed for good weather!!
