I'm forever blowing bubbles!

Hello there,

I hope you are well today!

Did you know that Friday 8th January was Bubble Bath Day?? No, nor did I until I popped by the Crazy 4 Challenges blog today! To celebrate this day Crazy 4 Challenges has a bubble theme for their challenge this week and I have the perfect stamp for that theme.....

So many bubbles in that bath.....I'd love to sink into all those bubbles with a glass of champagne and relax until I'm all wrinkly! I have complimented the bubbles with my lilac and white polka dot patterned paper. I have used my Promarkers and Stickles to colour the image and add a little sparkle.

As well as the Crazy 4 Challenges bubble challenge I would also like to enter this card in the new challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations, which is a gorgeous colour combo challenge:

I love this pretty colour combo and thought it went well with my bubble bath theme.

When I popped by the Cupcake Inspiration blog earlier I also discovered something quite wonderful..... I've been picked by Jen as one of their Sweet Six for last week's challenge and I get a shiny new blog button....

Thank you ladies - such a lovely surprise and much appreciated!

Don't forget to pop by both Crazy 4 Challenges and Cupcake Inspirations to see the gorgeous DT cards that have been created this week.

Pink, pink, lot's of pink!

Hello there!

I hope you're well and have had a lovely week!

I'm back with a new challenge from Sweet Stampin - and this week we have a fab colour challenge for you. We want to see your "perfect in pink" projects!

If you've popped by my blog before you'll know how much I love a girlie card - give me a spot of pink or purple and some sparkles and I'm a happy crafter!

I've coupled all that pink with a girlie bath....some bubbles and lots of polka dots! The perfect birthday card I think....the only thing missing is a bit of cake!

I have printed my Digi Stamp Boutique image with my Promarkers, and I added a bit of sparkle to the bubbles with my Stickles. I have then used a combination of pink plain and patterned papers for the background, along with a printed sentiment.

For more pink inspiration pop by the Sweet Stampin challenge blog and take a peek at the perfect DT cards created by Team Abi. While you're there you can also take a peek at our fab sponsor this week....

Hello there! Happy Saturday!

I hope you are well and had a fab week! This is yet another scheduled post for me I'm afraid...this weekend I am with Becca again...this time we're exploring the beautiful city of Bath! I went there last year, but Becca has never visited before. I can't wait to show her all the fab shops and beautiful buildings...not to mention sampling the odd afternoon tea! Hopefully I'll find somewhere new to review on our afternoon tea blog!

Anyway, I'll report back next week and let you know what we get up to! Now, on to important business...we have a new challenge for you over at My Time to Craft this week. Its a colour combo challenge this week and we'd like to see brown and turquoise feature on your cards....I love this combo its very pretty!

I've used a cute DigiStamp Boutique image which has been coloured with my Promarkers. I have added some sparkle to the bath bubbles with my Stickles.

Pop by the My Time to Craft Challenge blog to see how the fab DT used these colours on their cards this week.

I'd also like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Good Morning! Happy Easter Weekend!

I hope the Easter Bunny has paid you a visit....or maybe he is still to pop by?? I am having an Easter themed crafternoon tea with my lovely girly friends this weekend....Anika, Becca, Sheree and Lorna will all be there. We're going to have lots of Easter treats...we are going to do some Easter crafts....and mum is laying an Easter Egg hunt for us! Yes, we're all grown ladies in our 30s.....no we're not too old to chase around the place hunting for eggs...plus mum does the best riddles!

Anyway, today's challenge over at Sweet Stampin is just up my street....and really rather fabulous! Thats because the challenge is "Girly"! So what are you waiting for...get those girly papers out....lots of glitter....anything that screams "I'm a girl and I love it!!".

I've even purchased a fab new stamp for the occasion.....

This fab image is from Digi Stamp Boutique....isn't she a sweetie! After the week I've had I think I'd like to spend the whole weekend in the tub! I've coloured my image with my Promarkers, and I've been trying to experiment with my shading.

So....I got all my favourite girly things out for this card...some polka dots, some flowers....lots of glitter and pink! Oh and some bubbles...both the bath tub kind and the drinking kind! I think the only thing I've missed is some chocolate or maybe the odd cupcake??

Feeling a bit girlie....

Hello there...Happy Tuesday!

I hope you are well today! Look at me with yet another post....Joe has been spending a lot of time in the garage recently (drift season is about to start and he has cars to get ready)...this means I can spend more time crafting!

I made this card last night while I was in a real girlie mood (I had one of my friends over for dinner and we had a good old gossip)! I was inspired by the fab photo which is The Pink Elephant's challenge theme this week.....

What a pretty bed! I just want to climb in there right now! I also love this cute colour combo, yellow and grey goes together so well and makes for a very pretty card!

Anyway, the combination of my girlie mood and this gorgeous photo led me to make this card....

This is a new stamp that I bought a little while ago and I haven't used yet. Some of you might recognise the pattern though as its made by Kanban...who also make those gorgeous cake/cup stamps that I love so much!

I've coloured my image with my Promarkers, and added a little sparkle with my Stickles to the top of the bath and to the towel (it hasn't come out very well on the photo, but its there I promise!). I then used a combination of plain grey and yellow papers and that gorgeous patterned paper. I have added some faux stitching...I kinda wish that was in white now!

I've left the sentiment quite vague as I thought it could make a lovely Birthday card or a Mother's Day card...or for anyone in your life who needs some R&R!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

The Pink Elephant - photo inspiration
The Corrosive Challenge Blog - all that glitters

Pop by all the blogs mentioned to see the gorgeous DT cards that have been created.

Nearly time for tea!

Hello there!

Its Friday - woo hoo! And the sun is shining - double woo hoo!!

Well its nearly time for my Blooming Tea Party for Marie Curie and I think we've covered everything...just got to set up tomorrow and wait for the guests to arrive! Here are some of the cakes that I've made...I am soooo pleased with how they've turned out!

To keep me relaxed I've made a couple of cards this evening...the first one reminds me of my kitchen antics getting ready for the tea party.....

I've had this stamp for ages, but I've never used it because its rather large! It is very cute though and it seemed to fit my week really well! I've coloured it with my Promarkers and added a little sparkle to my baking faries with my Stickles. I've used some cute retro can backing paper and some plain blue for the background.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

DYSU - food (it had to be a cupcake really didn't it??)

My second card shows what I'd like to be doing on Saturday night after the tea party.....

Again, I've had this stamp for ages and I love it....its just soooo cute!! I've used plain blue backing papers, along with some blue and white patterned papers. I've coloured my image with my Promarkers and added lots of sparkle to my bubbles with my stickles.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Digi Doodles - anything goes

Oh La La!

Hello there....hope you're having a fab bank holiday Monday! Mine has been soooo relaxing! Lots of crafting for me today and lots of vintage shopping yesterday at a fab vintage festival! I dressed for the occassion in one of my 1960s dresses and managed to buy a gorgeous piece of antler luggage.....what do you think?? Just the right size for my new handbag!!

Soooo...its Monday and that means one thing....its time for a new challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenge....and this week the theme is "Oh La La!" If you're stuck for inspiration check out the Cupcake blog to see all the gorgeous DT cards. I went for a bathroom theme.....with lots of pink and a splash of blue!

I hope this is enough "oh la la" for the Cupcake ladies!!  I've coloured my image with my Promarkers and added a little sparkle to the bubbles with my stickles.

I'd also like to enter this card over at Make it Monday.....pop by to join in the fun and see all the fab cards that have been made this week!

I've done a lot of paper crafting this weekend....this is my favourite type of card making. I find something very satisfying about making pieces of paper into shapes that people recognise! Here are some of the cards I made this weekend....

I've seen both of these in a magazine recently and I'm really pleased with how they turned out!

Right, I'm off....I've got some friends coming over for dinner tonight and I need to finish off the chocolate cake that I've made for pudding!

Shine and Sparkle on your Birthday!

I love my Birthday...in fact I love most people's Birthdays! Its a special day in the year just for you, its your time to sparkle and celebrate however you choose to! I've got one work colleague who always jokes about how long my Birthday goes on for each year....I suppose I do manage to have more than one celebration each year...but thats just because I've got different groups of friends...and as I mentioned at the beginning of my post....I love my Birthday! I hope I never turn into someone who dreads their Birthday...I thought it might happen when I turned 30...but no...I'm 32 now and still love my Birthday just as much as ever!

This card I hope demonstrates my love of Birthdays...

A glass of bubbles in the bath...what a lovely thing to do on your Birthday! I decided to make a really girlie card, after all you can't beat a bit of pink on your card! I also wanted to use the fab pink, starry backing paper that I found when I moved flat! Isn't it pretty and just perfect for a Birthday card! I love this stamp and use it quite a lot, this time I've added in the bathmat and slippers.

I'd like to enter this card in the free and easy challenge over at Allsorts this week...pop over to their blog and see all the gorgeous DT cards. The other challenge this card fits into is the "wish upon a star" challenge at Cupcake Craft Challenge this week....the lovely cupcake ladies want to see some stars on our projects. To see some more starry cards pop over to the gorgeous Cupcake blog!

Thank you for popping by today and I look forward to seeing you again soon.

I can't think of a post title!!!!

Hello there...hope you had a fab weekend. Mine was busy and emotional, but good.

This week's challenge over at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge is brilliant....I was spoilt for choice when making my card really! Their theme is "something from around the home"...basically you need an image showing something you'd find in a home...how cool!

I decided to opt for a bath in the end...I love this new stamp, its fun to use and I think it looks fab too!

I've used a fun polka dot backing paper, along with some lovely mauve paper to give a real girlie feel to the card. I've coloured the image using my Promarkers, and I added a little sparkle to the bubbles using my trusty stickles! I'm pleased to say that I really like this card...yes, shock horror you heard me right...I was just openly positive about one of my cards!!

Check out the SCSC challenge to see all the wonderful DT cards this week.

My sister Lorna and I are hosting a Great Blooming Tea Party in Lorna's garden in July. As you know we're partial to hosting the odd afternoon tea and so this appeal is right up our street....in fact I think we've probably got a little carried away with the guest list....if everyone turns up for tea and homemade cake we'll raise a lot of money...but I think we'll also run out of chairs! We've set the date (Saturday 9th July) and the invites have been sent, now we're planning the decor and food (we want it to have a vintage feel). I'm really looking forward to it - please keep your fingers crossed for good weather on that day!!

Thanks for stopping by today,
Wedgie xxx
