Text or Script

Hello there,

Happy Saturday! I hope you have had a fab week!

I have started going to the gym again recently....I'm not a fan of the actual gym (if I want to run I prefer road running) but I do love classes and my friend Alex and I have been going to about three a week. My favourites are Body Combat and Body Balance .....my legs ache!

Anyway, today we have another challenge for you over at Sweet Stampin...this week we'd like to see your projects featuring text or script....and of course a little stamping!

I decided to make the text the feature of my card....

When I first thought of this sentiment I was thinking along the lines of being vintage is a good thing.....but on reflection I suppose some people might take it the wrong way! Be careful who you give this card to!

I have printed my sentiment on my computer and then added my teacup digi stamp. I have gone with a kraft card base and topped with floral papers and finally added a little white faux stitching.

I quite like that teacup....it would like great in my collection!

Relax with a good book....

....hello there...Happy Saturday!

Hope you're having a good day so far! So its another Saturday and that only means one thing....its time for a fab new challenge over at Sweet Stampin!

This week we are joined by A Day for Daisies as our weekly sponsor

and Joanna Sheen as our monthly sponsor

Soooo...whats the challenge I hear you cry? This week we have a fab theme for you...we want to see books/text feature on your cards.

I've used a fab Pollycraft image for my card this week...

I've opted for a bit of a retro feel for this card, I thought it suited the girl's glasses! I just love this vibrant colour combo of red and blue, it makes me smile!!

I've used some plain red and blue papers, along with the fab patterened paper. I've used the Pollycraft digi image which has been coloured with my Promarkers. I've also used some stamped text and a sentiment created on my computer.

Thanks for popping by today,

Hap-bee Birthday!

Hello folks, how are you this evening?

I'm in a surprisingly good mood for a Monday, not sure why! I've got lots of exciting things happening in the next couple of weeks, maybe thats a factor?? I've got a big meeting at work which I'm organising at The Langham hotel in London, as an organiser I attend the whole event including the dinner and I get to stay in the lovely hotel too. With nearly 70 guests its hard work, but good fun too! I've also got Joe's 30th Birthday and Joe's sister's wedding! So much going on!!

I've been asked to make a card for someone at work who has a Birthday this week, the gentleman in question keeps bees and loves the wildlife in his garden, so I've created this card for him....

I think its a tad bit girlie...what do you think? Hopefully he'll like it anyway! I've used a zingy yellow backing paper, along with some fab black and white polka dot paper for the background. I've also found a list of common garden flowers that I've added to the background too (this is from one of my gardening books so I hope he appreciates it!!). I've stamped a little bee and a happy birthday sentiment onto some plain white card, I've coloured the image with my Promarkers. Finally I added some little dots to frame my bee and some punched red flowers.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges this week:

Allsorts Challenge - anything but square - I'm afraid I haven't been very imaginative, but its not square!!
Cupcake Craft Challenge - textalicious - my list of garden flowers comes from a book!

Finally as promised yesterday, here are the yummy cupcakes that I made last night! They have an amaretto biscuit base, a baileys sponge and some vanilla frosting. I decorated the cupcakes with a little pink shimmer sugar! Joe has declared these as the best cakes he's ever tasted.....they also went down well at work, so I'm pleased!

Thanks for popping by today, I'm off to make some 2D Christmas tree ornaments from felt!
