Snowmen...or people!

Hello there!

Happy Wednesday - its hump day! Woo hoo! I hope you are having a good week and have been able to enjoy some sunshine.

Soooo....its time for a new Christmas challenge over at Christmas at Sweet Stampin and this one made me chuckle a little bit. This month we'd love to see snowmen/people on your Christmas creations! It seems funny that as soon as there is some decent sunshine outside we are asking you to make cards featuring some snowmen! Hee, hee!

Anyway, here is my card.....

First off....I love this cute backing paper...all those cute little snowmen! They are fab! I especially love the one peeking over the top of the sentiment! Hee, hee! My image has been coloured with my Promarkers and I have added a tiny bit of sparkle with my Stickles - now you all know how much a love a bit of sparkle!

Pop by the Christmas at Sweet Stampin challenge blog to see how the fab DT have used snowmen/people on their cards this month. While you're there you can also find out about our fab prize this month from our sponsor.....

I'd like to enter this card in a couple of challenges:

Allsorts Challenge - Favourite things - glitter!
Crafty Sentiments - Christmas in July
Fab n Funky - Christmas in July

Pop by these fab blogs if you get the chance and see what the DT have created!

Last weekend I spent the weekend in London with my best friend Becca - we had a fab time! We saw Michael Buble on the Friday night and Top Hat the musical on Saturday night. While we were there we also made it our mission to try out a couple of cocktails! I am quite impressed with our efforts as we managed quite a few, here are some of my favourites.....

These were on the terrace of the Radio Bar at ME Hotel - rubbish service, but wow what a view!! Cocktails were tasty too!

Now these were special - we're at One Aldwych here and this is their Smoking Charlie cocktail - inspired by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Yes, it was smoking!!

Finally, my favourite place - the American Bar at The Savoy. Amazing service and amazing cocktails!

Oh, I've got one last thing that I'd like to share with you....I met someone very important when I was in London.....

Hee, hee! Yes, Becca and I spent quite a while running around Hamleys like a pair of big kids!! This was just one of their Lego models!

Time for some snowmen.....

Hello there...Happy Saturday!

Hope you've had a fab week!

Soooo...have you seen that wonderful advert with the snowman and his girlifriend??As you may be aware I LOVE christmas....and I'm a sucker for a good advert...especially at Christmas time and those snowpeople are soooo cute!!

Anyway, over at My Time to Craft this week we have a fab new challenge...we'd like to see your projects featuring snowmen...so you better get watching that advert!!

The fab DT have come up with some wonderful creations this week, and here is my card.....

To match my cute Pollycraft snowman I have gone with non-traditional Christmas colours....opting instead for some snowy blues and whites! I've gone for a blue background, topped with gorgeous polka dot backing paper. Across the middle is some pretty white punched paper, and I've also added some faux stitching to the edge and some fab snowflakes.

My image has been coloured with my Promarkers and I have been very liberal with the Stickles....there is glitter snow on the image and the snowflakes have been coated in glitter too!!

I'd also like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Love to Create - Non-traditional holiday colours

Black and White Christmas

Evening Folks!

I've had another fab evening....tonight I've made a card for this week's challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenge and I've made the cutest mini cupcakes with a new caramel frosting recipe...its divine!

First off the card....the Cupcake challenge this week is "Black and White Christmas"...not the usual colours that you've associate with Christmas, however this combo makes for a very stylish Christmas card! I've used a new sentiment stamp that I bought in the sales after last Christmas and made a cute snowman to accompany the sentiment....

Isn't the sentiment cute?? I've used patterned backing paper for Mrs Snowman's hat and I've embellished my card with my trusty stickles...adding a little sparkle to the card.
Pop by the Cupcake blog to see all the gorgeous DT cards.

Now for the cakes.....I opted for mini cupcakes tonight because they are so easy to make, you only need half a batch of cupcake batter to make rather a lot of mini cupcakes! Plus I don't feel as guilty when I eat them! The cupcakes are vanilla with a caramel frosting and decorated with mini chocolate chips! I'm so glad I found this new caramel frosting, its smooth and very tasty! Thank you Rafina for sharing your backing magazine with me today!

Thanks for stopping by today...I'm off to eat cupcakes!
