Brrr! A bit cold and frosty!

Hello there! Fancy seeing you here!

Apparently the weather is about to get very cold again.....and because Fi & Abi from Christmas at Sweet Stampin have perfect timing we have a cold and frosty challenge for you over at the challenge blog this month!

We'd love to see your cold and frosty Christmas cards...yes I know its January...yes I know you've only just packed away your Christmas decorations....but why not start getting organised early and join our fun Christmas challenge!

Here is my cold and frosty card.....

I decided to make a snow globe shaker card, using a fab snow globe stamp and a cute reindeer stamp. Inside my snow globe is some fab very fine white glitter which is new to my stash (isn't it pretty?!) and I have added some hand-drawn snowflakes in the background. I've coloured my little reindeer with my Promarkers.

Pop over to the Christmas at Sweet Stampin blog to see what my lovely teamies have made for you this month....they are all so gorgeous! You'll also be able to find out about our fab £10 voucher prize that has been kindly donated by........

I'd also like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Shaker card for Christmas

Hope you're all well and having a good week! Its another Wednesday...can you believe it?? I some how managed to end up at work at 7:30am this morning...ridiculously early even for me! I've also had Brownies and Guides this evening, and somehow I managed to get a card made too! Arlana has created another fab sketch this week for us over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday, pop over to the blog to see all the wonderful DT cards!

Here is mine....I've used a lot of silver card on this project and therefore it was quite difficult to photograph....so I've taken pictures from different angles!

I've opted for a shaker card this week, as I haven't made one in ages.

I've used blue and silver papers and cards for the background. Along with some lovely blue ribbon.

I filled my shaker Christmas present with metallic stars, seed beads and mini circles (from my hole punch!). I created the bow from more blue card and added a mini tag for my sentiment.

Right, I'm off for a bit of blog hopping before an early night! Thanks for stopping by my blog today and I hope to see you again soon.

Summer Time Flower!

Evening All,

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.....I had a brilliant Saturday...I spent Saturday being a tourist in London with my sister Lorna. We went to an amazing American style diner in London...the one I took Becca to in June...this time I had the pancakes! We then strolled through London to the Girl Guideing shop and then wanted around the Royal Mews. If you ever find yourself in London I'd highly recommend visiting the Royal Mews, which are the palace's working stables. For under £10 you get to see all the royal carriages, a limo and some of the horses. They even provide a free audio tour or guided tour - great value!

Anyway, enough about London and onto my card for today....as you may have guessed by the post title there is going to be a flower here....in fact a rather large one!

This shaker card has been designed for two challenges:

When I saw this week's challenge on Cupcake I knew it had to be a shaker card - I love them and love any excuse to make one! The Sir Stampalot challenge was a lot harder because there are so many things that remind me of summer time. In the end I decided that I do love the summer time because I can be outside so much enjoy my garden or the local parks. Flowers are so beautiful in the summer months!

For this shaker card I made a flower on the computer -  not sure why, but it seemed to work! I used acetate of course, plus a lot of mini 3D sticky pads and some gorgeous yellow seed beeds. These cards really are easy to make and I think look fantastic!

Right, I'm off to a Girl Guide district meeting now!
Thanks for stopping by today,

A little sparkle and some strawberries and cream!

Evening! Hope you've all had a lovely weekend!

Friday was a lovely day...I hope Becca enjoyed herself....we started the day with a fab brunch in an American diner in London. This is Becca tucking into her pankcakes and bacon....

Now here is a valuable lesson that I learnt...if you go to an American diner...either in America or here....always have the pancakes! They were absolutely amazing! You'll regret it all day if you don't have them...especially if your fellow diner lets you try some!! As you've probably guessed I made the wrong choice...no pancakes for me!! And yes, I sulked all day long!! After brunch we ventured to Vinopolis - the amazing wine tasting experience which is located just off the river Thames, near Tower Bridge. If you have an interest in wine...even if its just the fact that you like a glass with your dinner...then this is a great place to visit. Your experience begins with a lesson in wine tasting, then you're set free to sample the delights from the wine tables! The staff are friendly and knowledgable and its great fun!

Anyway, enough of that....onto the challenges! My first card is a pretty Birthday card that I want to enter into several challenges this week...

I based the design of this card on a sketch from this week's Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge, and the colour scheme of pinks, cream and brown came from this week's Allsorts Challenge. Brenda has given two scrummy pictures as inspiration for this challenge - one is a gorgeous looking chocolate cake with strawberries and the other is a bowl of strawberries and cream! Yummy!

After cutting, punching, sticking and colouring my card I decided a little sparkle was in order....which is good because the Cupcake Craft Challange this week is "Dazzle us!"....they want to see our cards sparkle! I added a little pink glitter to my large flowers and tiny dots of yellow glitter to the smaller flowers. I also seemed to add some of the pink glitter to my forehead...I have no idea how!!

As well as this card I also have a card for this week's challenge over at Bah! Humbug! The challenge this week is to use acetate in our cards somewhere...so I'd like to enter this cute Christmas pressie shaker card. Now I have to admit that I actually made this card for their ribbon challenge which was a couple of weeks ago.....but I never got around to putting the card on my blog!! Therefore I'm really pleased I can enter the card this week!

You really should pop by all the blogs I've mentioned above, all the DT have been working hard and everyone has come up with gorgeous designs to inspire us all.

Right, sorry for the long post...I just had so much to share today!

Thanks for stopping by,

One for the boys!

Evening All - we're half way through the week - woo hoo!

Well I'm in a much better crafty mood today...after my usual Wednesday night at Brownies and Guides I decided to sit at my craft desk and try a new card technique out. I needed a card for a boy for this week's challenge over at the Creative Cottage and I hope they don't mind that mine is one for a rather little boy!! Take a peek at the lovely Creative Cottage blog to see the gorgeous DT cards for some inspiration!

This is a shaker card that I've made for a baby boy. I saw an article in a craft magazine recently about shaker cards and decided to give it a go. I was actually surprised at how easy it is to make these fab cards!

All you really need is some white and coloured papers, some acetate, some seed beads and sequins or other small items to put in the shaker bit and lots of 3D sticky pads! Easy peasy!

You can make these gorgeous cards in all sorts of shapes......

Anyway, panic over - it looks like I might not have lost my crafty mojo after all! Thanks to everyone for their comments after my last grumpy post! Your comments are always so lovely and supportive.

Thanks for popping by my blog today,
