Pumpkins Please!

Hello there!

Happy Tuesday! Well, I'm back from my rock and roll weekend! It was so much fun, Lorna and I are already planning to go back next year! Everyone looked amazing in their outfits....the people watching was brilliant! Next year we are going to be dressed properly as well as having our hair and make up...we were a bit limited this year! As well as all the cool outfits, we listend to very cool bands, watched people dance and even had a Hawaiian dance lesson! There was also a very cool car rally around the town of Rye and we got to ride in a vintage bus! It was awesome! Photos to follow I promise!!

So....its Tuesday, so that means its time for a new challenge over at Celebrate the Occasion and this week our theme is Pumpkins Please...so lets see your cards featuring a pumpkin or two!! I was very lucky to be given a cute Bugaboo image to play with...

Isn't that a cutie??

I've coloured my image with Promarkers and added a little sparkle to my pumpkins with my Stickles. I've gone with autumn coloured patterned papers for the background.

Pop by the Celebrate the Occasion challenge blog to see what the other members of the DT have created for you this week...they're all fab!

I'd also like to enter this card over at Make it Monday!

A week to go....

...Hello there...Happy Wednesday! So this time next week it'll be Halloween...and then before we know it, it'll be Christmas time! Wow this year has flown by!

This time of year also means its almost my bosses Birthday.... I am very lucky, as my boss is wonderful and so I always try and make her a fab present for her Birthday. This year I am appealing to her sweet tooth with iced butterfly biscuits and fab chocolate spoons that I've made using chocolate moulds and then iced with Viv's name and random squiggles! The mould is fantastic and so easy to use...anyone with some chocolate can make their own chocolate spoons!
The mould comes from the brilliant "Baked by Me"....a website run by the lovely Iris, they sell all sorts from delicious cookie mixes to a brilliant range of chocolate moulds, and lots of lovely china. The prices are really reasonably and the customer service is awesome too!

Here are the pretty butterfly biscuits...

Right, enough sweet stuff...time for a card challenge!

I've gone for another spooky card today...this time using a fab free image from "The Enchanting Art of Heather Valentin"

I love this image...I'm not sure if its the cute hat, the cat (which I think I've somehow made a bit evil looking!!) or the huge pumpkin....but I love it! Thank you Heather!

I've gone with typical Halloween colours - black, purple, green and orange. Using a combination of plain backing papers and ribbon. My image has been coloured using my Promarkers and I created the purr-fect sentiment on my laptop!

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Top Tip Tuesday - Halloween
Tuesday Throwdown - Halloween
Papertake Weekly - Fright Night - Boo!

Lucky Me! Guest Spot Alert!

Happy Monday!

How exciting! I've been playing along at the Love to Create challenge blog for a little while now, I love their challenges every Monday. Recently I applied to be a Guest Designer and guess what...the lovely ladies asked me to join the fun this week! I am so chuffed to be asked to join such a talented design team...thank you ladies!

Soooo...the challenge this week at Love to Create is Pumpkins....and as well as being a Guest Designer I was also given a fab Crafty Sentiments digi image to play with! Aren't I lucky! Here is what I created.....

I've gone with an orange and brown colour combo for this sweet Halloween card. I've coloured the fab image with my Promarkers and added a bit of sparkle with my Stickles. I've used plain orange papers to back the card, image and sentiment. Finally I've used a pretty floral paper and a doilly.

Hello There!

Happy Monday! Hope you've had a good day.

Mine has been long...again! I've still got a bit of a pathetic cold...bit sniffly..really annoying cough, but at least its not too bad! Thank you for all your well wishes...I really was feeling sorry for myself on Friday!!

So, its just gone 7pm and its really, really dark already!! What I love about this time of year though is the fab comfort food we all eat on these dark evenings!! After a long day in the office I decided to make one of my favourite chicken dishes for dinner ....chicken breast, chopped up chorizo, tomatos, pepper, onion, whatever beans I have in the cupboard and big glug of wine. Cook it in a hot oven for about 30 minutes. Its so simple to make and really, really tasty...especially when served with warm crusty bread! Yummy!

Anyway, cookery lesson over! I also have a card for you this evening!!

So for this card I have combined my cute little witch digi image from Digistamp Boutique with a fab pumpkin freebie image from Melonheadz. They are both too cute and so I decided that I wanted to use both of them! My images are coloured with my Promarkers and I have added some sparkle to the witches hat and the pumpkins with my Stickles.

I've gone with warm oranges and browns for this autumn inspired card. Combining two patterned papers, along with some plain orange and plain brown paper. I have also added a strip of punched border.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Allsorts - autumn trees and leaves (no trees or leaves on my card, but I have gone with the colours...I hope thats ok!)
Crazy 4 Challenges - Halloween
Cupcake Craft Challenge - Autumn/Winter
Pink Elephant - Photo inspiration

I've picked out those gorgeous orange colours and the pumpkins

Boo! Spook Fest Time!

Halloween will soon be upon us, and Cute Card Thursday has got us celebrating early as they want to see our spooky cards or projects. There are pumpkins, witches and a little vampire all featuring on the DT cards this week - all very cute...take a peek: http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/2009/10/challenge-82-spook-fest.html

Well I've managed to steer away from pink for yet another week to join in the fun...I did however manage to sneak in a little purple....

I have put this together using my craft box that I keep at my boyfriend's place and to be honest I'm amazed I managed to make anything as my supplies were really low. Note to self....I need a little shopping trip...woo hoo!

Anyway, I've used scraps of paper and a little bit of sticky ribbon as the background, my pumpkin friend and the word BOO! are attached using sticky pads to add some depth.

I've never made a halloween card before and I really enjoyed this challenge.

Enjoy!
