Lets see your transport!

Hello there! This is post number two for me today...if you're looking for my Celebrate The Occasion post please scroll down!

So....this week at My Time To Craft we want to see your projects featuring a method of transport...lots of options here and we can't wait to see what you come up with.

I've opted to go with my favourite kind of papercrafting....making something out of my paper scraps! I was recently asked to create a Birthday card for a friend to give to her dad...he's a big Morris Minor fan and so I made this card....

Not the best photo is the world...but hopefully you recognise the car! I based the image on an actual photograph to get as close to the actual car as possible. Hopefully he will approve of my paper car!

I would also like to enter this card over at Make it Monday this week!

Birthday Fishes!

Hello there! Hope you're having a good weekend.

I've spent a very long day at Joe's garage today...refurbishing some wheels I have bought for my car! They are lovely wheels, but needed some tender loving care. After 7 hours of TLC I gave up....I'm exhausted, was in need of a hot shower and lots of food! Plus I still have a wheel to finish!! This was me at the beginning of the day....optimistic and a bit happier than the other end of the day!!

Anyway, I left Joe to it and came home....I'm feeling a bit more human now and so decided to make a quick card before dinner time....

Isn't he cute? I've used a fab Pollycraft image, coloured with my Promarkers. I've used plain brown and blue papers and a lovely patterned paper to make this card. I cute the circles out of the blue papers using a punch and added a little faux stitching.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday - Water, water everywhere - water inspired card
Digi Doodles - male card

Right...I really need some food now...and an early night!

Feeling like a rock star?

I think everyone should feel like a rock star every so often! My boyfriend loves music....hes very talented and can play various instruments and can sing beautifully (he sang at my sister's wedding). He always looks happiest when hes singing his heart out around the flat!

So with that in mind I created the following card....

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Stamp, Scrap & Doodle - stars and stripes
Simon Says Stamp - Father's Day/special man
Tuesday Throwdown - masculine

Time for a sweet treat!

Woo hoo! Its Fridays....its a long weekend....and I have Tuesday off as well! That makes me very happy! I hope you're also in a good mood on this Friday evening!

Sooo....I haven't blogged in a couple of days so I thought I better catch up with some challenges! First off we have one of my least favourite challenges over at Cute Card Thursday this week....yes thats right, they're asking for "one for the boys". After all these years I still struggle with male cards....someone I know even commented on how my male cards didn't seem as good as my female ones!! Anway, when I see this challenge I always give it a go....after all practice makes perfect!!

This isn't too bad....masculine colours, a guitar and a sentiment that makes me smile. Pop by the Cute Card Thursday blog to see all the cute DT cards that have been created for men!

I've also got another couple of challenges to catch up with....firstly we have Sweet Sketch Wednesday....I haven't joined the ladies in a couple of weeks and decided it was time to play along again. I love using Arlana's sketches and DT always make such cool cards. This week's sketch is just fab...
Here is my interpretation of the sketch....

I'd also like to enter this card in the third Birthday challenge over at Simon Says Stamp this week....there are lots of fab prizes this week....pop by their blog to find out more. Happy Birthday ladies!

The third challenge I'd like to enter this card in is the "circles" challenge over at DYSU this week....if you call them circles rather than dots then I have lots!!

Something for the men!

Happy Saturday! I hope you've had a fab week and you're looking forward to the weekend!

Well, thats not something you'd usually find on my blog.....normally you'd pop by here to find pink, sparkly, girlie cards...but this week we have a masculine card theme over at Sweet Stampin....so I had to get my thinking cap on!

I have to admit...it may be for a man, but my card has still managed to turn out quite cute!

I love this stamp....it reminds me of my boyfriend Joe who is a complete car nut and regularly comes home from the garage looking like this....covered in grease!!

Pop over to the Sweet Stampin blog to see all the other gorgeous DT cards for some great inspiration!

This is a short post today....I'm very excited because I'm off to the O2 later with my best friend Becca...we're seeing Katy Perry in concert and I can't wait!

The simpliest male birthday card there's ever bean!!

Evening Folks!

Hope you're all keeping well. I've got a quick card to share with you this evening...a lot of challenges at the moment are asking for Father's Day cards and if I'm honest I'm really not looking forward to Sunday....I still can't quite believe he's not here anymore. Luckily I've found a couple of challenges that have simply asked for masculine cards......so here you go.....

I decided to go with a clean and simple card, with a contemporary feel. I've seen this cute sentiment recently and thought it was fab for a male card....not too cutesy....but funny....well it made me smile! I've kept it simple using a green baking paper, which I've given a distressed look to. I printed the sentiment on my computer, and backed it with a little orange card to make it pop. I then made my beans! Once again I've gone a little Blue Peter on you all....yes you've guessed it...those are my thumb prints! I added the details using black pen.

I'm entering this card in the challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenges and Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge - both blogs have called for male cards this week. Pop over to both blogs to see their wonderful DT cards...lots of inspiration there!

Joe took me to Brighton on Saturday afternoon.....it was cold and windy....but I kept up tradition and went for a (very quick) paddle in the sea! Dad would have been proud!

It's a male thing!

Morning! Hope you're well today.

I'm very glad its Saturday at last....I had a mini lie-in this morning which is always great! Plus I've got two whole days with not much planned...therefore I see loads of crafting and baking ahead of me! Woo hoo!

I have a little card for you this morning perfect for the man in your life...

I usually really struggle with male Birthday cards....I'm much happier with girlie colours and sparkles! However, I got some fab stencils free with a craft magazine this week and one of them was a shirt and tie stencil. I'm pleased with this card, and when mum saw it she said I could easily turn this into a Father's Day card too!

I wanted to keep the card quite bright and fresh, so I decided to use a zesty green paper along with the bale brown, instead of the usual blues that I'd probably use for a male card. I used 3D sticky pads under the collar of the shirt  to make it stand out. There is still a bit of a girlie touch on the card....as I couldn't resist using flowery paper for the tie!

I'm going to enter this in two challenges - Allsorts has a male/boy theme this week and Paper Cutz has a your choice theme (so I've gone with male birthday card!). Pop over to both of these blogs if you get the chance as they feature some really gorgeous DT cards.

Thanks for popping by my blog today. Watch this space, I'll be back with more cards over the weekend and maybe some tasty cakes or biscuits too!

It's a man's world!

Right...I'm back...the card was actually near enough finished!

So, the challenge set by Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge this week is "It's a man's world", as you know I'm not keen on men's cards....I can't really use pinks on them! However, whenever I come across a challenge for a man's card I try to enter because as we all know....practice makes perfect! If you're stuck for ideas take a peek at the blog and see the gorgeous DT cards!

You'll no doubt recognise the image as I've used it before. It always reminds me of my boyfriend, so I love using this stamp! I was tempted to add a pair of glasses to make it really look like Joe...but I didn't want to ruin the card with my doodles!

I've opted for a very bright colour scheme as you may have noticed. Not only does this make it a very lively, fun card...but it also fits in with this week's challenge over at Allsorts! Their theme this week is primary colours....and they asked that we used a minimum of two...so I went the whole hog and used all three! If you want to see other cards using the primary colours, take a peek at the gorgeous DT cards over at Allsorts.

I'm pleased to tell you all that I am loving my new laptop, I'm amazed at how quickly it zooms about the web! So no more moaning from me about slow computers...my friend Sheree will be pleased if she reads this!

I'm also very excited because this Friday I am off to Germany for a long weekend with my lovely sister Lorna...we're off to see the Rhine in Flames, an event that I love. The Rhine in Flames is a summer long celebration that takes place in the towns and villages on the banks of the Rhine. There are amazing fire work displays and of course gorgeous german wine. I'm a huge fan of German wine (very unfashionable I know) - I'm sorry that its not well represented in the shops here...but at least that gives me an excuse to go on a trip! Hee, hee!

Right, I'm off...I woudl say I'm going to try and get an early night, but since I'm already sat at my craft desk we all know thats a fib!

Thanks for stopping by today and taking a peek at my cards.

Not so much pink today.....

......I was asked yesterday to create a Birthday card for someone's brother - the only theme I was given was the colour blue and they wanted me to include his name, but he has no particular hobbies to include on the card. Wow! So much freedom to design what I fancied! However, as you'll all be aware from my blog my cards often turn out very cute and girlie!

After much deliberation I decided to start picking through my stash, finding all the different bits of blue paper I've got. I then sat and moved them around on a card until I came up with a layout I was happy with. This process was actually quite fun - seeing the different layouts appear before my eyes. Anyway, here is the final card, complete with sentiment written on my computer.

It took all my willpower not to add some glitter or buttons to the card! They would have looked perfect on the grey panel in the bottom left hand corner!

While I was in the mood I also decided to create some more cards that could be given to men.......

I have to say it was nice working with papers that weren't pink or purple for a change, I really enjoyed making the mini computer out of cream and grey paper.....but I did miss my glitter a little bit!

Ok, I have to admit it...there was one more card I created last night that doesn't quite fit in with the theme here....well you couldn't expect me to totally neglect my pink papers could you??

Hee, hee! Pink - check, purple - check, button - check, ribbon - check! One cute little girlie card!!

Hope you enjoyed my cards today, thank you for stopping by!
