A little bit of glam!

Evening All,

I hope you're all having a good week. I've had a bit of a lazy evening tonight....no gym for me...no I just cooked dinner for me and Joe and did a little crafting! After this post I'm off to bed...I fancy an early night!

This week's challenge over at a Passion for Promarkers is “divas with glam & glitter”.....what a fab theme! You know me...I can't resist a little bit of glitter! Here is my lovely lady, all glamed up for a shopping trip!

I've used a selection of girlie purple and pink backing papers, along with my stamped image which I have coloured with my Promarkers. I then added a little bit of glitter to the dress and necklace with my Stickles and I added three little pink gems for some added glam!

Pop over to the Passion for Promarkers blog to see some really gorgeous DT cards!

Right, I'm off to bed now!

Happy Saturday!

Hello campers! I hope you're well today!

Its another Saturday and so that means another challenge for you over at Sweet Stampin...this week I'm really excited because I have chosen the theme for you! I decided to pick the theme "fashion"...not because I'm uber trendy, but because I wanted to see all the different ways fashion can be shown by us crafters!

Our lovely weekly sponsor this week is The Stamping Boutique, and they kindly gave me an image to play with...here is the lovely Jade....

Looking at Jade's outfit here I think I've successfully demonstrated that I'm never going to be a fashion designer!! The fab layout for this card comes from this week's sketch challenge over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday....Arlana has three little flowers on the left hand side....I opted for these cute little bags to go with my fashion theme! Check out the SSW blog to see all the gorgeous DT cards.

I got a little carried away with the theme this week and created a second card too, this one featuring one of my favourite sentiments...

Ever since I developed my dodgy knee I've had to stop wearing all my favourite high heels because they hurt my knee too much. So, instead I have to lust after my sister's amazing shoe collection and just hope that one day I'll be able to wear a pair of heels for more than five minutes without my knee hurting!

It doesn't stop me loving this sentiment though and I have my conquer the world shoes ready in my wardrobe! Hee, hee!

Don't forget to pop by all my fellow Sweet Stampin DT blog's to see their wonderful fashion creations and I look forward to seeing your cards this week!

One last piece of fantastic news I have to share today is that I sent my donation off to Marie Curie this week - the total was over £1090! I'm so touched by the generosity of everyone and want to thank everyone for their support. Its been a tough couple of months and I really appreciate everything that everyone has done for me. Thank you.

Fashion, ladies and a great sketch!

Hello there! I hope you're all keeping well.

I'm a tad bit excited as its my Birthday this weekend! Everyone always laughs because I still make a big deal of my Birthday and plan lots of things to do...but hey, its nice to have things to look forward to! This weekend I will be going on another Ghost Bus Tour in London, I will be staying in a fancy hotel, I will be having afternoon tea with the girlies and I will be having a fab party....and I can't wait!

Today I have a very girlie card to share with you...the great layout for this card is this week's fab sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday...

Isn't that sketch lovely...I'll be using this one again definitly! Did you know that Arlana has nearly created 100 sketches for Sweet Sketch Wednesday...thats amazing! Check out their blog to see how the DT have used this sketch!

The theme for this card has come from this month's challenge over at Sir Stampalot where the theme is "Ladies and Fashion". Isn't that a fab challenge?? I love this sentiment....I'm not entirely sure I've done it justice here as it doesn't quite fit in! The image is another of those fab Kanban stamps...I love them!! I've been practicing with my Promarkers again, and I've added a little glittle glue to the necklace and the shopping bag!

I've also done a little baking this evening, something I haven't done in a while. I decided to revisit one of my favourite recipes...coffee cake! I think I'll call these coffee and cream cakes, as they are coffee sponge cake topped with vanilla butter icing. I've also added a little sparkle to the cupcakes using edible glitter...it hasn't come out very well in the photo, but the cakes really do sparkle!
Thanks for popping by today, see you soon!

A Little Bit of Fashion.....

.....Morning All! Blogging on a Saturday morning!! I haven't done this in ages! I'm off to the Make It! Show in Fanrborough today (so excited), but decided to get a little card on my blog first. Do you think its wrong that I'm more excited about this shopping trip than hitting the clothes shops?!?

Remember that I've been trying to tempt my poor friends over to the "craft side"?? Well it worked!! My friend Becca is coming with me today! I'm not sure whether she'll get bored....I hope not...surely all that lovely stash can't be boring?!? I'll let you know how we get on!

Talking of clothes....here are is my card.....

A little bit of fashion to help celebrate London Fashion week.....and to help me with a card challenge this week. Over at Cute Card Thursday they have set a ribbon-tastic challenge - yes they want to see projects with ribbons on.....as many or as few as you want. The DT have created some lovely cards, to see them take a peek here.

I have started with a pink backing paper and topped it with some cream handmade paper. Onto that I have attached a piece of thick pink ribbon, which is embellished with a cute button. I have cut a little black dress out and added another cute bit of ribbon as a belt. I found the Yves Saint Laurent quote online and thought it was lovely to send to a stylish friend! Its a simple card this card, with minimal ribbon, but I think it suits the sentiment.

Did you see the "normal" size models on the catwalk at London Fashion week? I think its great that they have used these models, but the clothes seemed a little tight on them...is that how they were supposed to look?!?

Anyway, I hope you have a lovely day....maybe I'll bump into some of you at the show today?!?
Thanks for stopping by!

Stylish Birthday Wishes

Evening All....I can't believe I haven't blogged since last Friday! Spent the weekend at my boyfriends and he still hasn't sorted out his internet connection!! Honestly!!

Anyway, here I am...the knee is still dodgy, I'm still not driving, but at least I'm still crafting away! I had dinner with my friend last night - she cooked me chicken in black bean sauce with rice...very nice indeed....the rice was rather interesting though...looked a bit like mash as her hubbie told her! Nevertheless is was lovely - thanks Sheree!

So, another week and another challenge.....over at Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge they have set a colour theme challenge this week....and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it....purples and greens...fab! Anyone who knows me knows I love the colour purple and to add a dash of green is just brilliant! Take a look at the wonderful DT designs here, just gorgeous! Lorna is you're reading take a peek because there is the cutest little tortoise card there!

For my birthday celebrations one year I went out clubbing in a long light green dress, which I accessorised with amazing purple shoes - I tried to find a decent photo to show you the outfit, but all the photos were so awful, and I had quite clearly had a drink or two in most of them....ha, ha nice trip down memory lane though!

Anyway, here is my card for the challenge - kinda inspired by my previous birthday outfit.....

I've used a white square card for this one, topped with gorgeous dark purple card and then a green backing paper. I've used purple ribbon and green and purple buttons to accessories, along with a mini purple dress which I have cut out of the same purple card as before.

The perfect card for your stylish friend!

Anyway, I'll be back tomorrow with some more things to share....in the meantime why don't you hunt out some old photos of yourself...take a trip down memory lane...it'll make you smile!

Thanks for stopping by,
