Things with Wings!

Happy Saturday Everyone!

Hope you're all well and looking forward to Christmas. I'm not organised at all this year, I seem to be doing so many different things at the moment and have no time for Christmas! For example today is another fabulous Crafternoon Tea at Lorna's flat....and today's tea is really special because we are celebrating Lorna's Birthday! I'm really looking forward to seeing all the girlies, eating lots of sweet treats and making some Christmas crafts! I have made a Birthday cake for nearly all my friends this year......and Lorna decided I needed a real challenge this time and requested a tiered cake!! Its a bit wonky, and the icing isn't that great (hence the ribbon!!), but here is the finished cake.....


Now, I must tell you about this week's challenge over at Sweet Stampin....this week the theme is "things with wings"....so what are you waiting for?? Get crafting!! We're lucky to be sponsored this week by Bugaboo...they've got some fab digis to choose from! One of my favorite characters is Stella.....here she is in all her glory!!

Hee, hee! I just love this sentiment!!

I've used some pretty pink and blue backing paper for this card, and I've made Stella bit glam with some sparkle on her wings!

More Spooky Happenings!

Hello crafters!



Hope you're having a fab weekend....our Halloween
Crafternoon tea yesterday was so much fun! The table looked fab, the food was really yummy and we had fun carving pumpkins and making spooking FIMO keyrings. Take a look at what we got up to.....

I actually made the spooky aprons that Lorna and I are wearing in the first photo....I'm so pleased with how they came out considering I haven't made aprons before. I used material scraps from my stash and some ribbon, they looked pretty cool and didn't fall apart!

I also have another card to share with you.....it's a little bit similar to yesterday's card....but I couldn't resist using this cute little image again! This time I've turned him into a spooky Birthday card!

This card would be perfect for my friend Becca....she loved the Halloween version of this card! I've opted for black and red papers today, which I think suit my little vampire really well.

Afternoon tea and a fab award!

Hello everyone, hope you're all well and having a lovely weekend.

First I want to say a huge thank you to Lilsweetpea who I mentioned on my blog earlier this week as a fab new discovery of mine. I popped back yesterday to see what new gorgeous cards she has created to discover that she has given me the Liebster Blog Award, which is an award creaed to bring new blogs to light. As well as getting this award, my weekend has been lots of fun already because today was Crafternoon Tea! Lorna hosted and made fab sandwiches, lemon meringue kisses and scones. Becca, Anika, Sheree and Rafina all joined in the fun...bringing with them yummy cakes, pink bubbles and cheese straws (yes I am still full now!).

After eating a huge amount of yummy food we got stuck into the crafting...this time we had biscuits to ice (which Anika was very good at), felties to make and clay to model with. A special mention to Sheree who choose a very detailed feltie and finished it beautifully despite saying she was rubbish on more than one occasion!

I want to say thank you to all the girlies for joining Lorna and I today, we hope you had as much fun as we did! I'm off to Make It at Farnborough tomorrow...really looking forward to some retail therapy!
