No Design Paper Was Harmed in the Making of this Card!!

Hello Folks - Happy Monday!!

Hope you've had a good day. I had a meeting with some IT consultants at work today....I was with them for an hour and a half and I think they might have sucked all the knowledge from my head! It was an intense meeting!!

Now I'm home.....and its craft time!!

Now I'm not happy with this card....it seemed like the more I did the more I disliked it!! So I stopped.....and here is the finished card! I love the colours, but I think I've struggled with the lack of design papers here. I've used pink and cream papers, a lovely piece of cream lace and a cute Polly Craft image (my favourite!!).

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Cupcake Craft Challenge - a Birthday card with no design paper
Pollycraft Monday Challenge - colour inspiration...pinks, reds, cream & white
Make it Monday - Linky party.....pop by to see all the gorgeous makes!

Now remember yesterday I said I'd been baking.....well I forgot to share a photo with you!! Here they are....pretty swirly vanilla cupcakes....with pink sprinkles and a little pink glitter dust! I think I might eat one with a cup of tea now!!

Thanks for popping by today,

Another Monday....

Well.....that was my lovely week over with! I'm back at work and I've nearly forgotten that I've been on holiday at all....apart from my little pot belly that I've gained from all the food and drink I consumed last week!!! Hee, hee!!

Anyway, nothing like a bit of crafting to make you feel a bit better! Sooooo.....I've got a couple of cards for you this evening...first up something a little stripey!

This gorgeous layout is from the sketch at Allsorts this week, isn't it lovely? And the stripes are for this week's stripey challenge over at DYSU.

And here is my second card.....another fab sketch....

This time the sketch is from Pollycraft (as it that gorgeous image that I love!!). I'm also entering this card in the material girl challenge over at Cupcake Craft Challenge....that shocking pink strip is material and I've layered that with some ribbon too. I'd also like to enter this card in the Make it Monday linky party!

Pop by all these blogs to see the gorgeous DT cards that have been created this week.

Right, I'm off....I've got some bread proving in the airing cupboard and I can't wait to get it in the oven! Yummy!!

Thanks for popping by today and I hope to see you again soon!

Happy Monday!

Hello there...hope you're having a wonderful Monday!

Today is my Birthday and so far its been a blissful day.....Joe had to go off to college this morning and so I had a nice little lie in and I've been crafting ever since! He'll be home soon and I have no idea what the afternoon holds for me!

Soooo....thank you to everyone who played along with my Birthday candy....the lucky winner, pulled from a hat, is Elaine! Well done hun, please send me an email with your address so I can post off your goodies!

I'm very pleased with my cards this morning.....here is the first one....

I know Easter was a couple of weeks ago, but I love this image and thought it went really well with my cute papers and buttons! I've been practising my Promarker colouring (inspired by the gorgeous Birthday cards that the Sweet Stampin DT sent me - thanks ladies!) and I'm actually really happy with this image. I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Allsorts - buttons and thread
DYSU - bling (I've added stickles to my easter eggs and butterfly)
CES - paper piercing (its around the blue paper)
Pollycraft - cute critters
Lili's Little Fairies - transport - I hope the pogo stick counts!

I've also made a second card this morning....

Instead of my Promarkers I've used my trusty pencils to colour this cute LOTV image. I've used my glossy accents on the window pane to try and make them look more glass like and I've added some stickles to the water drops. I love this fresh colour combo....not one that I'd usually go for, but I think it looks really pretty. I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday - Spring flowers
Cupcake Craft Challenge - in the deep end (add depth)
Papertake Weekly - april showers / water everywhere
Simon Says Stamp - April showers bring spring flowers

Pop by all the challege blogs mentioned to see the wonderful DT cards that have been created this week!

Thanks for popping by today, hope to see you again soon!

Girlie....but no pink allowed!

Hello Folks, hope you're well today!

I have a confession to make....this post is rather late! Whoops!! I had a post scheduled for yesterday morning...but it didn't work properly and I've only just noticed!! Its been a busy weekend - with lots of Birthday celebrations for me....I'm so lucky to have such wonderful friends who have spolit me rotten!!

Anyway, enough about that.....this week's challenge over at Sweet Stampin is "go girlie"...but with an added twist as there is a ban on all things pink! Regular visitors to my blog can imagine the panic on my face when I read this challene....I LOVE pink!!

Luckily I've been inspired by the fab digi image that I've been given by Pollycraft...the wonderful sponsors for this week's challenge.....pop by their store to see all their gorgeous images. Here's my card....

Isn't that a cute image??

I'm really pleased with how this card has turned out - I love this blue and red colour combo and think the gingham papers are so sweet.

We also have the fab Joanna Sheen joining us again this week as our fab monthly sponsor.

So what are you waiting for....lets see your non-pink girlie creations!

Don't forget you also have one more day to enter my Birthday candy...its so easy to join in and you could win some cute candy! Pop by the post to read more!

Thanks for popping by today,

Punches & Dies

Hello campers, hope you've had a good week!

Mine's been another hectic one.....with Joe's 30th Birthday and Joe's sister's wedding. This week I've been bowling, played on arcades, went go-karting for the first time, visited the V&A, went on a flight simulator at the Science Museum and spent an evening at The Comedy Store (this was all on Monday & Tuesday!!). The end of the week sees me back in London for the wedding - my outfit is sorted  (I've been inspired by the 1950s) and Joe has his Morning Suit.

Phew, its been hectic!! But I did have some time late one night for some crafting! The challenge this week at Sweet Stampin is Punches & Dies and we are sponsored by the fab Pollycraft - pop over to their store to see all the gorgeous digi images they have - they'll be spoilt for choice!! I was very lucky to be given the cutest little penguin to play with...he went perfectly with my snowflake punch and I got a little carried away and created two cute little Christmas cards!!

Isn't he the cutest??

So, what are you waiting for....we want to see your cute cards which feature either punches or die shapes...or both! Don't forget you also need to use a stamped image...either traditional with ink or a digi!! Need some inspiration?? Visit the Sweet Stampin blog and my fellow DT blogs...there are lots of gorgeous cards!!

Thanks for popping by today,

PollyCraft Challenge

Morning All!

Remember I said I was looking at new blogs the other day? Well another one that I came across was Tales from Pollycraft which is the blog of Paula, who runs Pollycraft Designs. Both the shop and the blog are fab (they are pink - always a good sign!), and Paula runs challenges. Pollycraft Designs features all kinds of cute characters, with lots of digi images. At the moment Paula is also looking for new members for her fab DT to help with the shop gallery and the challenges she sets - I do really want to become part of a DT so I thought I'd give it a go. To see the challenge take a peek here.

We were given two images from the Pollycraft range and asked to make a card - any style, any theme, any colours......so here we go:

I've chosen the Codi image as I think she really is a funky little character and I decided to design a funky Birthday card to go with her. I've used plain yellow and pink backing papers, topped with a patterened pink Papermania paper. I haven't used any particular layout, I placed the papers in front of me in different layouts until I found one I really liked. I have used some bright yellow ribbon across the card, and attached two pink buttons using yellow thread. My sentiment is a pre-printed one - I chose gold to match the colour combo!

I printed my Codi digi image onto white paper, then coloured her using my brushstrokes. Once finished I cut her out and attached her to my card using 3D sticky pads. The final touch was a little pink glitter glue in the right hand corner...a girl's gotta have a bit of sparkle!

Right, fingers crossed with this card....I love doing card challenges and to be part of a DT helping to inspire others would be brilliant. I know I'm still quite new to all this, but I hope I would bring a different style to the already fab DT at Pollycraft.

I've got another doctor's appointment today - wish me luck! The doctor thought I'd be all better by now...think he'll be surprised when I walk in using my crutch!

Thanks for popping by today.
