Greetings from the Seaside!

Hello there! Hope you're having a good day!

Sooo...I know I'm currently away from my laptop, but I couldn't resist posting a little seaside card! I'm down at Lydden Hill race track this weekend supporting Joe in the fourth round of the British Drifting Champsionships....but we're staying in Folkestone....so I thought this card would be appropriate!

Not that I'm going to get anytime on the beach!!

I've used some cute stamps that I got free with a magazine recently, aren't they cute?? I've coloured the images with my Promarkers. I've used beach inspired papers for the background and created a shore line using my Martha Stewart punch. Finally I've created my sentiment on my computer and then turned it into a cute little tag.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Passion for Promarkers - down at the beach
Papertake Weekly - anything goes
Cute Card Thursday - Tag you're it!

Pop by all these blogs to see the gorgeous DT cards that have been made.

Its summer time!

Post number two for today! Please scroll down to see my Celebrate the Occasion DT post.

Sooo....isn't this weather lovely?? The sky is blue in Aldershot today and the sun is shining! Woo hoo! I really hope this lasts as I'm on annual leave next week and staying put in this country!

Anyway, all this lovely sunshine has inspired a couple of cards today....

I've used plain blue backing paper, along with some fab stripy paper that reminds me of deck chairs to make this page. My image is created from two Pollycraft characters which I have coloured with my Promarkers. The sentiment was created on my computer.

This card reminds me of me and Joe.....we love surfing. I'd like to say the characters look like us, but I think that would be pushing it a bit!!

This card has been created for the following challenges:
Oldie but a Goodie - photo inspiration (that photo really screamed summer holiday to me and this is my perfect summer holiday!). My old thing is the deck chair-like paper!
Tuesday Throwdown - Tropical paradise

My second card also has a lovely summery vibe to it....

Isn't that strawberry backing paper cute?? I've backed this paper with some plain blue paper, which I have also used around my image and my sentiment. The image is another Pollycraft cutie and I've coloured her with my Promarkers.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Passion got Promarkers - feeling fruity
Love to Create - spots & dots (my strawberrys are dotty!)

Well I hope my cards have left you with that summer feeling! Pop by the challenge blogs mentioned to see all the gorgeous DT cards that have been created.

Finally, I'd like to introduce you to Penny the Pineapple plant! Hee, hee....I've wanted a pineapple plant for ages and mum found this lovely one! She's now sat below my living room window sunning herself!

You can't stop me today!!

Hellooee.....me again!

Ha, ha....there is no stopping me when I get going is there?? I decided to take full advantage of a day with no plans...I've made loads of lovely cards and I have a batch of yummy peanut butter cupcakes with chocolate frosting! Soooo this is my second post for today!

Whilst trawling through blog land I noticed that My Time to Craft have a DT call on at the moment and so I've decided to apply. Pop by their blog to see more details! Their challenge this fortnight is hats or handbags.....so inspired by my baking I created this cutie....

Isn't she sweet?? Hope the My Time to Craft Ladies like her hat!! Thats exactly what I look like in the kitchen too.....batter mix flying through the air!! I like to think I'm a glamour Nigella type....but really I'm not!!

As summer rolls on ha, ha (I'm currently watching a weather forecast with lots of rain predictions!!) I'm trying to convince Joe that he's like to join me on a surfing trip to Newquay. He loves his cars soooo much that he'd much rather spend all his annual leave and spare cash on them rather than a jaunt to the coast. But I've got my fingers crossed!! While I wait for him to make up his mind I'll just have to create some beach scenes instead....

Not exactly what Joe and I look like on the beach....but at least the right person is carrying the board (surf boards are soooo heavy!!).

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Allsorts - I do like to be beside the seaside
Fashionista - simply summer

Pop by all the blogs mentioned to see the gorgeous DT cards that have been created.

Finally here is that cake I mentioned earlier....

Life's a beach!

So, back in August the boyfriend and I took our annual trip to Newquay.....I love it down there and don't think I will ever tire of the amazing sea air and the views that take my breath away....I always take a million photos! And this year was no exception!

As well as trying to improve my surfing skills (ha, ha!), we ate a lot and generally relaxed...we both needed a holiday and it was a lovely break. On the last morning before we were due to come home I decided to cook my darling boyf a sausage sarnie for breakfast (aren't i lovely?!)...to cut a long story short I manged to burn my hand quite badly....I'm never going to fry a sausage again...it was so painful!

Anyway, the boyfriend (once he knew I was ok) decided he wanted to go surfing....the burn was so bad I couldn't actually put my wetsuit on...so instead of hitting the waves I followed him down to the beach and wandered about. After bending my sister's ear on the phone for ages (sorry Lorna!) I decided to turn my attentions back to the beach and my camera...and came up with the following card designs:

It took some time to get the writing right in the soft sand, the tide didn't want to play my game and kept washing my words away before I was ready, plus you can see my foot print in one of the cards....but I think it was worth it in the end!
