This is my second post for today...if you are looking for my Sweet Stampin post please scroll down.
Well, I have to say although I was a little resitant to the idea a couple of weeks ago...I am now well and truely looking forward to Christmas! Yes, I've said it out loud...I love Christmas! I've already eaten some stollen...I've indulged in a little mulled wine and yes I have watched a couple of Christmas movies already!! My sister Lorna would be rolling her eyes right now if she was reading this...we still have her Birthday and Mum's Birthday to go before Christmas!!
Anyway, this week's challenge over at My Time to Craft is just what the doctor ordered after my hectic week at work! Our theme is Vintage Christmas...not only do I get to indulge my love of Christmas...I also get to add a little bit of vintage!! Woo hoo!
Here is my creation for you.....
Isn't that image fab?? Its taken from a vintage Christmas card....the original card was damaged and so I couldn't use it, instead I decided to recycle the image from the front. I've used traditional reds and greens and the gorgeous holly paper for the background and added my Christmas greeting. I'm really pleased with this card!
Pop by the My Time to Craft challenge blog to see all the gorgeous DT cards that have been created this week.
I'd also like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Right...I'm off to listen to some Christmas music...and maybe eat a mince pie or two!!

Hi Wedgie, awwww what a sweet card - lovely image and a great idea to use up an old card to make a new one. Perfect recycling (or is it up-cycling - I can never work out the difference!).
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a great weekend.

We started the Christmas movies as well, Chevy Chase's Christmas Vacation start us off every November and am sure it will be on a few more times yet and yes we still managed to have a laugh everytime.

That's a great bit of recycling, Wedgie - the image is gorgeous. I'm partial to a little mulled wine myself, but for some odd reason I'm not allowed to drink it at work???? Shame xx
