Well, what a very wet day it is here in Aldershot! Wet and grey and generally miserable!! So what better way to cheer myself up before dinner than a quick bit of crafting!
Now I have a couple of issues here...first off the colours aren't so vibrant in the photo! Sorry!! Bad photography alert!! My second issue is that I'm not too sure whether there is too much going on here! I love these new papers...them are from a retro inspired pack and they are just gorgeous! But does it look a bit too busy...especially with the tea cup and buttons?? What do you think??
The sentiment I think is perfect....I've found it on a really fab website called Birds Cards, along with the cute tea cup!
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Cupcake Craft Challenge - bright as a button - use bright colours and buttons
The Pink Elephant - photo inspiration - I went for the gorgeous colours
Pop by all the blogs mentioned here to see all the gorgeous DT cards that have been created!
Thanks for popping by today,
Wedgie xxx
Hello Lovely. Now first up, when will it stop raining?! Second, I can see the bright colours, even though I can't see them clearly, if you know what I mean? The light is really naff for taking good pictures at the moment, so won't pick up vibrant colours. So even though the camera isn't picking them up, I know they're there. Next, I don't think there's too much going on. The white space you have ound the image is balancing out the papers and the three buttons also help. Fab card. Well, I think that's it. Have a great week. Ooh and thanks for playing at Cupcake. xx
ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous hunni...:o)
ReplyDeletebig hugs Vicky xx
Beautiful Wedgie, not too much going on at all, I think you have really good balance on the card.
ReplyDeleteIf you're not entirely happy with it, my suggestion would be to mat the layers and the image with a tiny border of the same colour, for instance picking the blue of the zigzag paper this would tie all your layers together.
Still I like it the way it is as well.
Cheers,

Hi Wedgie
ReplyDeleteYour card is fabulous! I love the papers an the sentiment is perfect (and so true).
I agree with Kasey, perhaps some matting may have helped to define the layers a little more..........
Thank you for sharing with us at Make it Monday this week.
